Kasbah Beldi is paradise on earth. The staff is so very kind, respectful and calm. This makes the whole experience here very relaxing. The garden and area surrounding the property is so beautiful, I have never seen anything like it. The rooms we had were spacious and spotless, which were cleaned daily. You can also buy glassware that is made in the Beldi glass factory nearby. I would like to mention that the food is delicious. The menu for lunch and dinner changes daily, and you get to choose between mostly two to three options. This ensures that everything you eat is freshly made and never the same as the day before. Thank you to Mohamed and all other staff!
Nothing. I would love to come back as soon as possible.
The food was limited to say the least and on Xmas eve the only choice available was a set menu at nearly three times the normal meal price. The fish starter smelt and tasted many days old and the lamb main was dry and tough. The kids pasta was overcooked and tasteless. There was no alternative when we stated the food was stale and was smelling off. To really rub salt in the wound, they refused to offer any form of financial compensation for the inedible food we returned. Even the chef agreed that the quality of the food to the price being charged was totally out of sync. The problem is that everything is signed off by the financially greedy French owner and the Moroccan staff are powerless to use a pragmatic sympathetic attitude when matters arise. This owners cynical greedy attitude was also displayed, in the fact that he had builders building more rooms throughout Xmas eve and Xmas day - directly in front of our room - blighting any sense of escape or tranquility. So much for peace at Christmas time. Ironic, given that in the owners blurb about the origins of the hotel, he states that when he first visited the site, he was transfixed by the tranquility of the region. Pity in his quest for more rooms and more money, he does not offer his current guests the same tranquility he experienced on his first visit.
The location is stunning. The views of the mountains are so beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place has a calm, relaxed atmosphere. The pools are also both beautiful. The short travel time to the airport makes this a really accessible slice of escapism.
The food in general is good but the breakfasts were a little bit basic. A tiny bit more choice would make a big difference.
The environment was magnificent!
Perfect escape from the city.
Excellent service!
Beautiful place to stay in what feels like the middle of nowhere! Pools are great and the dinner was always lovely
The stay was amazing. The staff were very nice, friendly and always there for us. The views were to die for. The lodges had a great view as well. The breakfast was so good with organic products (honey, olive oil, etc)
- The road is a bit challenging. You better have a 4*4 as we struggled for the last 6 kilometers.
- The food was good but there wasn’t any choice, we only had one choice per meal. The price also is a bit expansive if you are going to stay more than 2 nights, for each meal we paid between 290/300 MAD without drinks/water.
gardens and food
Spa Hammam- the only worker was not communicating properly, the stone tables were far too hot, she hardly put soap and we had to wait for turns while we ordered duo treatment. And they ask serious fee per hour. Better do it in Marrakesh at a proper Spa.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner was Amazing! Perfect trip for foodies! Located very high up & windy road to the top…more for the adventurous. Saying that we loved it & will be back dv. Staff very attentive, courteous & helpful.
Maybe lack of wifi in bedroom however we were able to go to lounge/common area to relax, have & drink and use wifi. If you need to be on your phone/laptop a lot this might not be for you..if you need a daily break from the internet then it’s your spot. Also very isolated from everything as high up in mountains & not a lot to do so great for us after manic Marrakech. Not for everyone though especially if your planning a long stay. Was great for 2-3 days chill out.
Location - great! View on the Atlas mountains with snow;
Garden - beautiful, even if it was winter time.
People - very nice.
Food- very tasteful.
The room should be refreshed (walls, sanitaries).
The restaurant places could have been cleaner (windows, tables).
