The rooms were comfortable but basic. Aircon was good.
The hotel is listed as pet-friendly. However, the owners have two dogs of their own that are allowed to roam freely around the property and nearby streets. As we were leaving the hotel for a morning walk, the larger of their two dogs attacked our dog, who was on a lead.
At the time, we didn’t fully realise the extent of the injuries, but it later became clear that our dog had suffered two deep puncture wounds from the attack. He is now on an eight-day course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication.
The owners seemed quite relaxed about managing their dogs, so if you’re considering booking this hotel with your own pet, PLEASE ensure that their larger dog is securely restrained. I’m not necessarily blaming their dog, as it initially seemed friendly, but if it had been on a lead or properly secured, this incident could have been avoided.
Otherwise, the location and the accommodation were reasonable for the price.
Good , food to order.
This is a lovely, extremely reasonable little hotel deep in the hills and gorges north of Cuenca. It's in a very tiny village where, as far as we could see, there was no other place to eat or drink, but that didn't matter because (and I'd checked beforehand that this would be possible) we ate in the hotel. We were the only people staying here on that night but we still had a tasty supper and good breakfast. It's exactly the kind of place that we love, although it might not suit those who expect to have a kettle in the room, English-speaking personnel, an international menu and a hotel that could be anywhere in the world. It is hard these days to find the differences between countries, but this place is very Spanish in all the best ways. As an example, for breakfast there was no menu, we were just asked what we wanted and this was produced, with smiles and charm. The couple who own and run it are absolutely delightful; I didn't try to speak to them in English so I don't know if they speak it, but I can imagine that their friendliness and helpfulness would make it easy for them to communicate whatever the language. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, if you want a road trip through Spain, this is the area to be.
There was nothing we didn't like.
this is not a luxury place but it's perfect for a break.. it's in a small village near the mountains.. the facilities are good, there is a restaurant , the staff is nice and I could bring my dog which is very important..the room had aircon and a modern bathroom.. so very good experience all together
nothing.. all good
A family run place in the middle of La Mancha. Super friendly and helpful staff. country hotel. Nothing posh, just lovely, as is the restaurant. Don't expect Michelin food and you'll be very happy. The main thing is the almost maternal care you sense. Great country hotel !
Nice place to stay, beautiful surroundings.
Quite noisy room above the bar. Better ask for the room opposite to the street
