hotel muy cómodo en una ubicación privilegiada. El personal es muy amable
la limpieza diaria debe ser algo más meticulosa
Excellent location & very welcoming
Wonderful hotel, super clean, fantastic family pool surrounded by palm trees and beautiful planting. Plenty of sun beds, incredible breakfast and affordable before dinner drinks in the terrace overlooking the water.
Excellent location and lovely staff
The staff, quality of service and facilities are second to none and fully live up to the Illa D’or’s 4-star rating. Breakfast was superb and it was unforgettable eating both this and delicious meals from the La Terrassa restaurant by the water’s edge.
The hotel’s location is at the end of the Pine Walk, which means a 20-minute walk along the uneven surface of the Walk. During high heat and humidity this made for an exhausting ordeal if you wanted to eat in town. Unfortunately two power cuts in one week - one planned, one not - disrupted our enjoyment, especially as the second meant 16 hours without power, light or air con and with no information given by reception.
Great location. Beautiful views from the terrace. Great breakfast.
Small badly designed rooms, no where to put cases etc
Very slow service from bar staff and drinks ordering to sunbeds.
No aircon for 24 hours was a particular problem.
We loved the fact that Hotel Illa d’Or was at the quiet end of Port de Pollensa. We also loved being able to access the sea with ease and enjoy swimming in the beautiful torquoise waters.
We felt the room was a little small as was the bathroom. We only ate dinner on one occasion and it was extremely disappointing. It was from the Table Dote menu as La Terrace restaurant was fully booked.
It was a short walk into town, the cleaning staff were so friendly in the corridors, the spa staff were so friendly and the front desk were friendly as well.
We, like many others experienced the power outage which lasted all night into the next day. For us, with an 11 month old baby on the top floor meant it was difficult to carry him up and down so many flights stairs while the aircon and power in the lifts was out. I think a power outage is something that I would’ve expected a hotel to be prepared for however I didn’t feel that this hotel was prepared for it at all. In the six nights that we spent at the hotel, I never met the manager once. Maybe there was one floating around but I never was introduced to anyone and I think that if the power goes down in the hotel if the manager can’t be there to at least give out bottles of water to families or elderly people who have no air-conditioning and the temperature is 33° at night they should at least be there the following morning to talk to people and to try and make them feel comfortable. That didn’t happen. I feel like all the responsibility was put onto the young men (and women ) working at the front desk and they did their best. The reality is a lot of the guests that I spoke to were pretty upset that there was no front of house manager who was managing the crisis situation.
I also don’t understand why it’s the job of those working at reception to be taking and giving out pool towels. This is such a random task for them as their job should be focused on checking people in/out, fielding questions about tours/ activities etc and helping people get taxis.
Also, we didn’t have pool towels for 2 days because there were none available. I literally sat at the pool with my 11 month old baby six year-old daughter and husband and not one of us have. We just had to walk back into our rooms? Wet what a strange experience.
Ubicación, ambiente y servicio inmejorables
De las dos habitaciones dobles que teniamos, una tenía un baño muy pequeño
The exquisite view
All was great
Fantastic staff, everyone was really friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and well appointed. Our room overlooking the sea with a balcony was amazing. Location was lovely, easy stroll along the pine walk to a range of restaurants, although the restaurant at the hotel was amazing if you didn't want to venture too far.
The only issue was that sun beds were really hard to get. Seems like not enough for the number of guests and no management, so people put their towels out first thing and kept beds all day despite not necessarily using them.
