Very good but requested a bath on booking but not able to provide as all sold
Sausages too spicy and bacon undercooked at breakfast which was extra
Friendly atmosphere. Exceptionally clean. We were able to take our dog, although the hotel restricts dogs to specific areas in the hotel, but that was fine by us. It’s very close to the seafront.
There were a few things that could be so easily tidied up: paint the copper piping in the bathroom, extractor fan needed too ; remove the picture hook above the tv instead of painting it over with an incorrect colour.
We paid £165 for one night, including one dog and two breakfasts. This was expensive - especially as the Baccus are doing an offer of £199 dinner, B&B for two nights in January!
The location was great
Nothing
Very friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast very good with lots of options.
Hotel location perfect.
Staff were polite and hard working.
Made to feel welcome
The mattress could do with an upgrade .
Traffic noise through the night!
Unfortunately had to have the window open because room on the sunny side during the day
Staff and cleanliness
It was snowy and car park like an ice rink. Very poor for me as I have mobility problems.
Friendly staff nice rooms.
Shower pressure poor. Car park not gritted very dangerous for those with mobility problems.
The hotel itself was lovely.
The food was overpriced.
The quality of food was terrible.
We experienced undercooked steak and mushy vegetables. Awful
Lovely staff, good food, good location very clean
On the last night we moved to a different room it was fabulous,, comfortable bed, A room I would have chosen given the choice
Room 74 ,it was a family room, very basic, small windows ,a dark room, uncomfortable bed,, we expected a room for a couple,. I wouldn't have chosen that room
The location
Noise from road traffic and wedding party music and loud voices
Absolutely everything about the Bacchus Hotel was 100% perfect. From our meals, to housekeeping, to maintenance and the ambience.

Location couldn't have been better, staff were really friendly ,food and service were great
Cups andTowels not cleaned or replaced during our stay, room bin not emptied so had nowhere to put rubbish
This is a proper English seaside hotel , with lovely friendly staff and a great breakfast . Very homely , clean and comfortable .
Nothing I didn't like
Location, car parking, garden area, large bar & dog friendly. Good kettle & Worthingtons at the bar.
Mattress was old and uncomfortable. Headboard was so far away from the wall because of a big radiator pipe i had to put a spare throw behind it to stop it banging of the wall. No fan in the room and window only opens a very small amount. Tatty looking and outdated furniture unlike in the photos on booking.com. bathroom window was original wooden frame with cracks in pane, broken pullie system so hard to lift up and needed small talc bottle to keep up and open. Very small cups so bring own like me. We was in room 11 with kitchen & bar area under us so noisy and smelly at times and all the questions in the quiz we heard clearly. 15:00 check in? And 10;00 check out which we thought was to early. Breakfast only avaliable between 08:00.& 09:15? Way to short! Be warned the hotel is locked after 12:00 at night! The staff were either great or miserable, just ur luck who you get. Was not our restful get away we wanted and way overpriced for what you get.
The hotel was lovely I would stay again but request a room on the back if possible as the traffic noise kept me awake.
Nothing other than the noise and it was very hot
