The friendliness and professionalism of all staff members. The quality of towels and linen and products in bathroom.
Hard to think of anything
The food was delicious
No Carling lager
Helpful staff. Comfortable room. Excellent food.
Nothing
The superior room was excellent, spacious, comfortable and well equipped.
Staying only for one night, we had an excellent meal in the restaurant, the food was first rate. A lovely comfortable relaxed feel to the evening.
Breakfast the following morning was excellent, showcasing the fabulous local produce sourced by The Maynard.
Excellent value particularly taking advantage of the 'My Longbow' app.
The weather was a little foggy in the morning but the Maynard can't be held responsible for that ;)
Very friendly staff and a quiet hotel in a beautifully restored old building. Great sound system throughout, including a radio in the room.
The breakfast was cooked to order, which was appreciated. However, it wasn’t as fabulous as advertised—good, but not outstanding. This may simply come down to personal taste.
The hotel itself is great and really good value, the breakfast is really tasty and majority of the staff was very nice. The room was very well decorated.
However we got room with kitchen exhausted just outside our window, which is very noisy between 7am and 10pm, so there is no chance you will relax or sleep once this is on. We did asked about it on the reception and were told that even though the hotel is pretty much empty, they cannot change our room because we booked on booking.com and they can only change it for another room by the exhaust. If that is the case and you are selling on booking.com bad rooms, then you should mention it in description. Btw I paid extra to have Superior room, not so superior to be woken up by horrible noise at 7am on your holiday.
Excellent location, beautiful building, warm and comfortable. Great breakfast.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent. When there was a problem with the heating in my room they sorted the problem promptly. The food was absorbed delicious. We plan to return.
Well trained and attentive staff.
Bathroom although spacious the toilet bowl and toilet roll holder cramped into one corner ? The tap in the gents toilet located in an awkward position meaning water splashed over the shelf outside the hand-basin when using ??
Lovely location and excellent facilities. Very relaxing stay, would love to visit again in the future.
Welcoming staff and a gorgeous setting
Place was quite cold
A very cosy hotel, comfortable bedroom , every thing there what we needed. The restaurant dinner was delicious with great service ! The breakfast also delicious!
The wardrobe was very much like a child’s wardrobe with bathrobes provided only fitting for a child !
The room was warm and comfortable and the restaurant and bar were also nice. The hotel provided a super useful guide on walks in the area including walks adjacent to the hotel.
The location is OK but not near the town or pubs. So you're kind of stuck there for the evening. That didn't bother us too much as we had the restaurant booked, the the bar was open and we were tired after a long walk. But if you're looking for a bit of craic in the evening you're not in the best place.
The breakfast was OK but service v slow. It took 40 mins for them to produce a continental breakfast and a bowl of porridge. Coffee was not great and you have to pay extra for cappuccino.
The meal was v good. One curiosity is their recommendation of having chips with ravioli. I took the bait but remin perplexed.
Overall, worth the minor inconveniences to be in a comfortable hotel.
Clean, quiet place, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good food.
