Cons:

Das Hotel ist eine grüne Oase, allerdings in der Nähe der Hauptstrasse, die zu hören ist. Die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss am Pool sind nachts wahrscheinlich etwas leiser sein

If you want to laze around the pool all day I suppose this hotel would be a good choice, orherwise I would recommend you book closer to town!
Yes, you can get a tuk tuk (as the walk is tricky, being along a busy highway) but I was wishing I was closer to town so that was unnecessary.
This is particularly important to know as the food options around are very limited.
The staff were not welcoming at all, although I must admit I did arrive earlier than the 2pm check-in. I was 'greeted' with 2pm scribbled on a piece of paper and then ignored.
It makes you appreciate those hotels where staff genuinely smile and often bring you a refreshing 'welcome drink'!
I accept the 'language barrier' doesn't make things easy, but a smile is understood everywhere!
The room itself was clean and had a small balcony with a garden view. No kettle or tea making facilities, however.
The shower was a nightmare with no shower screen, which meant water splashed everywhere! Noise could be heard above, and in the corridor until very late.
Other people have praised this hotel so maybe my expectations are unreasonable.
However, I have stayed at many hotels where I have had a much more satisfying stay!

Cons:

The complimentary 'breakfast' was the poorest you could imagine, with sugary cereal and toast with jam. Considering there was nowhere close by to eat (other than the nearby cafe that had nothing more substantial than a croissant), it was better to avoid it all together until you eventually got into town.
