Nicely located for visiting the historic sites near Veliki Preslav, a very friendly welcome from the lovely host.
We have stayed at many, many hotels during our twenty years in Bulgaria and this one is extremely overpriced, it is comparable to hotels half the price. No extras, cheap furniture, soap, towels, etc. We do not mind paying for comfort and extra facilities but this is a very basic hotel charging far too much for very plain rooms.
Fine courtyard swimming pool a real bonus!
The apartment was clean, the bathroom is huge, quiet and peaceful location
The terrace needs maintenance and cleaning because of the birds. The view from the apartment was wonderful, but the atmosphere on the terrace spoiled this.
And also, in the kitchen there was a prepared kettle for hot water, coffee cups. It would have been nice to have coffee available. In the hotel itself there was nowhere to get coffee in the morning (in the presence of a small bar and a coffee machine, but there was no staff) and we went to the restaurant opposite

Everything! This is another of those absolute gems; spacious, extremely comfortable, and the lady on reception was so helpful in every way. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool with a jacuzzi facility on the one side, and space to stretch out and relax on recliners. It was extremely hot, so the excellent aircon was most welcome. It even made self catering relatively easy, although the excellent hotel restaurant away across the main square had superb food at reasonable prices. This is a lovely little town with all the facilities one could wish for, and we loved it. I even had an excellent haircut at the local barber for just 10 Leva.
