Le cadre est magnifique, avec un emplacement agréable et une belle piscine. Le personnel est globalement accueillant et le séjour s’est bien terminé après régularisation du litige.
Nous avons été déçus par plusieurs écarts entre la description de l’annonce Booking.com et les prestations réellement disponibles. L’annonce mentionnait un réfrigérateur et des ustensiles de cuisine, mais l’utilisation de la cuisine nous a été refusée. Une prestation de "gouvernante" nous a été imposée puis facturée à hauteur de 300 000 Ariary, alors que nous ne l’avions jamais demandée ni acceptée. Après intervention de Booking.com, ces frais ont finalement été supprimés. Le Wi-Fi n’était pas accessible dans notre bungalow et nécessitait de se rendre au restaurant. Certains équipements annoncés, comme les jeux/puzzles, n’ont pas été mis à disposition.
Très bel emplacement, avec une piscine à débordement et un paysage à couper le souffle.
Le personnel est également très accueillant.
Les termites qui rongent le bois toute la nuit font un bruit infernal.
Il y avait aussi des souris et des cafards dans la chambre.
Un très bon accueil, on a passé un agréable moment assez court mais on reviendra

Les odeurs des échappements des tuk tuk sur la route derrière l’hôtel et qui s’infiltrent par les volets..
An absolute gem in Ile Sainte Marie! Can totally recommend it. The location is excellent (right on the beach), the bungalows are cosy and very clean, the food and drinks are delicious and the staff (including the owners) are very welcoming and client oriented! A real good value for money :)
Our stay at Vohilava was perfect for our family of 4. It is located conveniently close to the airport and day excursions including Ile Aux Nattes and Pirate Island. The staff was superbly hospitable, especially Kate and Josia who both spoke very good English. They were invaluable in helping us plan our itinerary and made us feel comfortable and safe. We look forward to returning in the future.
The beachfront can be tricky to swim in without water shoes although there is a nice swimmable section at the end of the hotel's pier. La Pointe Sud is a beautiful beach that isn't far to get to by Tuc Tuc.
Beautiful, spacious rooms right on the beach. Delicious breakfast, good range of drinks at the bar. Nice welcome juice.
The manager was away for several weeks before and during our stay and didn’t leave anyone in charge of emails or booking messages, so we just kept getting out of office responses. Lots of our questions before our booking went unanswered, including wanting to organise a transfer from the port as well as excursions.
When we arrived, there was no one at reception to receive us and we had to wait around for a long while to be ‘allowed’ into our room.
This was part of our honeymoon (we messaged this on booking) and as a result of the above felt that the customer service was really lacking. The other places we stayed in really made the effort to celebrate our special trip, but this went completely unacknowledged and even like we were an inconvenience.
Such an amazing place, so welcoming and warm staff, always with a smile on their faces and always ready to help you.
The food was delicious also!
We had such a good time with Kate, the manager, who organized a nice trip on the island for us, helped us with buying good quality vanilla, and pretty much helping with everything we needed ☺️
Emil was also super nice and prepared some good cocktails.
You have to try their rum arrange (we ended up buying 3 bottles for taking home) and their puch coco 😍🍹
Definitely stay here when you are in Saint Marie!

The service was wonderful … the staff were super amazing (all of them). The ambience and atmosphere were also very lovely and the sunset (Katie’s favorite) is definitely worth it. If one needs a tranquil place, this was certainly it. I had a really great time and certainly hope to come back. Oh and the food I also really enjoyed.
