Cons:

No cuenta con Internet, se dificulta la comunicación. Las camas son demasiado blandas y no son confortables. El aire acondicionado no funciona correctamente. Son reducidas las habitaciones y todo se ve un poco descuidado. El personal no tenía la reserva tal cual se hizo en la app.

The address was wrong
Cons:

The address of the hotel is wrong! We went to the address that is in the booking and found that it's other hotel, managed by the same family. When we called the manager was a bit rude saying that the address is correct. Though it was obviously wrong because we were not in front of hotel Izala. If you want to find it make sure you type the name of the hotel in the google maps, not the direction of the booking. It was sketchy to walk in the night from one to another with heavy bags, but they are both close so not a huge drama but it was uncomfortable.

Pros:

I stayed in Hotel Izala during a Hurricane. Staff were very accommodating upon my arrival and throughout my stay. The fan was very powerful, at no point was I too hot during my stay. The room was clean. Bonus, the hotel owners also let me choose my room... And when I returned briefly a week later, passing through on the buses, the owners allowed me to quickly use the WIFI even though I was not staying.

Cons:

Bathroom light did not turn on.

Cons:

The place was really dirty, not clean at all. Shower was full of dirt, spider webs and whole room was really badly smelly from mold and humidity. It was obviously not clean in weeks. During night we were woken up by nig cockroach walking on us which we had to catch in the middle of the night. I would never book room for this amount again. We didnt feel safe here

Better than nothing, I guess
Pros:

The check in was fast, the room was quiet and dark so we could sleep a bit more, the same guy at the reception was nice and friendly

Cons:

The toilet was dirty, hard pillows, bathroom floor was dirty, the parking lot was full so I had to park on the street and get all my stuff into the room , the reception was closed when we arrived, we had to knock several times and call them by phone, when they open the door the guy was a bit grumpy

A shabby hotel in a shabby town
Pros:

Nothing really. Being on the main drag its easy walking to the bus terminals.
Rooms arranged in a quadrangle 2 storys

Cons:

The room was spartan and bleak with a 30 watt bear bulb for lighting.. Not too clean roombor bathroom.
Water was tepid.
They deduct your payment 3 days before check in.
Could be nice but had a lacklustre air about it

A practical basic stay
Pros:

Good location, friendly staff and basic but acceptable place to stay

Cons:

Like many hotels in Mexico, there is always something not working or missing. The air conditioner took a while to figure out. The shower barely worked, no water pressure or water at times. The sheets looked thread-bare. The room was right in front of a busy road. Noise starts early.

A wonderful time and got to see a parade for revolution day!
Pros:

I loved how the owners were so helpful especially with the language barrier. They were helpful whenever we needed it. And provided us a traditional Mexican breakfast. Coffee and sweet bread🥰

Cons:

We didn’t get wifi in the back rooms at the end of the property but hey, it is what it is.
