Great location near the centre of Teotitlan del Valle. Beautiful internal courtyard
Rooms could do with some TLC but okay for a couple of nights
Teocalli exceeded our expectations! A wonderful small hotel with a delightful courtyard with trees and birds. Our host Alex was available when asked to prepare lunch and/or dinner on several occasions. His frappes and liquados were excellent. Comfortable beds, good shower, quiet at night, towels replaced almost daily. We will recommend Teocalli and we will return.

Alejandro was nice enough when we arrived and moved us to a king bed room.
1. A fire nearby made Teotitlan smoky
2. The one window was cracked which being on the street was unsettling
3. Table lamps did not work
4. Night lady was cleaning with Lysol at 10 PM at night. Not pleasant
5. Left the next morning but could get no coffee until 9 and still not possible after that
6. Unable to get a refund on the two nights we did not stay.
7. Rooms were very stuffy.
8. Bed was marginal
Breakfast had to be requested the night before but it was delicious!!! There was plenty of hot water for showering. The birds were loud in the morning but did not bother me, actually it really added to the atmosphere. The bed might be a bit too firm for some but for me it was great. The staff was extremely caring and helpful, we were even given the owners' whatsapp info in case we had any questions, and he responded quickly. We always came back to a clean room and common space. Thank you for your generous hospitality!

A mattress pad and better fitting bottom bet sheet would be good.
I had a fantastic and relaxing stay. It was nice to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a few nights. The staff were very friendly and breakfast in the morning was delicious! The hotel is only a 5-7 minute away from the market and there are lots of studios to pop into on the way. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend.

Hotel located along high speed vehicle traffic. Engine-revving, horn-fanatic drivers, and non-stop barking of neighborhood dogs!! Hot water pressure disappear after 9PM every night!
