Nice old hotel
Pros:

Very helpful staff

Cons:

Area in which it is located is very shut up by 8pm apart from fast food chains

We liked the staff and the style and architecture which reminded us of stays in Europe.
Pros:

Excellent staff and location was perfect for walking to local restaurants and the city park.

Cons:

The plumbing in the shower needed updating. The water pressure was so-so. The faucets were the worst we encountered on the trip and definitely needed replacing. The water never got hot but was enough for a comfortable shower without ever turning on the cold water. So, maybe a new, larger hot water heater is in order?

Beautiful hotel with great staff and delicious breakfasts
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel in an old mansion. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were wonderful. The breakfast was delicious too. This is an excellent hotel for those travelling through SJO airport - it is one of the closest hotels to the airport and there is parking available. The hotel itself is in downtown Alajuela and is close to many shops and restaurants, including some delicious bakeries.

Beautiful, welcoming, super clean accommodation.
Pros:

Beautiful building inside and lovely decor. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff super kind and helpful. Spoke good English.

Cons:

Maybe tea/coffee in the bedroom?
A few more hooks to hang things in bathroom.

Gute Lage in der Nähe zum Flughafen und für die Weiterfahrt in den Nationalpark Poas. Super freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiiterinnen. Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück.

Interesting architecture of the common areas
Great free breakfast: choices offered!

Cons:

The parking. It’s gated so you have to get the front desk to meet you at the parking lot and they have to wait for you so they can lock the gate back up.

Pros:

O hotel é muito aconchegante. Gostei do quarto, da cama, toalhas, café da manhã.
Perfeito para quem quer ficar próximo ao aeroporto

Cons:

O banho é muito bom, mas como não tem proteção molha o banheiro todo.
