Good location. Not safe when you get stuck in the bathroom for hours

Close to the city

Cons:

Have to shut the bathroom door to get into the shower. At the same time the door handle does not work and the door won’t open. Got locked in the bathroom for 4 hours

A short walk to cafes and restaurants in Newcastle

Cons:

The room was located across from a pub. For the majority of the night it was all you could hear was screaming drunk people and loud music. Why would you place us here at $350 a night??

There was also some defect on the tram track so every car that drove over it, which was constantly, made a distinct loud clunk noise right that echoed in front of the room.

Overall we had much more comfortable stays in rooms at half the price on our trip. This was the most expensive and the worse of the bunch. The hallways had carpet that was not properly laid, the door numbers were hand written. The bed was two singles to make one large bed, the TV in the lounge was placed in a weird low position. The couch was stained. It looked a lot better in the pictures and was not worth the cost.
