Perfect location near city center
The room was fine and it's close to where long distance buses start in ha giang.
There were communication issues every time we interacted with the staff. I am aware that this is in vietnam and I'm the one who doesn't speak Vietnamese, my bad. However using google translate was very unsuccessful and every interaction took an incredible amount of time. Never before had I had to wait so long for a check in, or for staff in a hotel to understand and/or react to any request, it was almost funny. I want to point out there were smiling and trying their best but we achieved little success.e
A couple of times they called someone on the phone who did speak great English and facilitated whatever the issue was.
The room was clean and the bathroom was big. Staff tried to communicate despite the fact that they speak no English
You needed to insist a lot to get things included in the reservation. They were doing construction work till late in the night and starting very soon in the morning so time for resting was short. There was a couple of misunderstandings because of the language
The staff is very friendly and kind ! I enjoyed talking with the grand pa, using Google translate ;) the bed was very comfortable and people available at any time.
No individual light for each bed, the door of the bathroom was broken (we couldn't lock it).
I feel scammed. I booked a room on Booking and they also confirmed that the room was available. But when I arrived at the hotel, the landlady told us to sit and wait for someone. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one said anything. Then the hostess told us to take all our luggage to another hostel and said that hostel and HG Hostel were the same. She explained that because we booked a room with a window but HG didn't have a window, she took us somewhere else. My friend went to a nearby motel called Thien Ly hotel. I felt suspicious so I asked my friend to go check out the room first. When my friend went to see the room, they had just started cleaning the room, and the hotel owner was a different person, and it was clear that these were two different hotels. Because we have traveled to many places, we knew this scam so we refused to stay. I don't know if the good reviews at Booking are true, but we feel really disappointed and deceived. Hope everyone is careful with this hotel.
Did the Ha Giang Loop with them and it was the best thing we did in Vietnam. Highly recommend!
The place was clean, staff were very friendly and they organised the whole Ha Giang motorbike loop for us with easy riders which was my favorite thing I did in Vietnam.
The staff are really kind and helpful, they also let you check-in any time (24/7). Rent scooters for a good price. Totally worth the money!
