Struttura bellissima, immersa nel verde e lontano dal caos di Ubud. È un piccolo boutique hotel con poche stanze, poche persone adatto a coppie che desiderano tranquillità e privacy. Personale perfetto, estremamente gentile e accogliente pronto a soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta. Ci siamo trovati talmente bene che abbiamo deciso di prolungare il nostro soggiorno in questa struttura. Assolutamente consigliato!

The Most Extraordinary Hotel We Have Ever Experienced

Uma Kalai was, without a doubt, the best hotel we have ever stayed at in our lives. We were staying here during our honeymoon, and from the very first moment, the entire experience felt incredibly special and completely beyond anything we had experienced before — not only in Indonesia or Asia, but anywhere in the world.

From the moment we arrived, every detail had been thought of with extraordinary care. Our villa had been beautifully decorated with flowers, including special floral arrangements on the bed and a bathtub filled with flower petals. It was absolutely breathtaking and made us feel immediately welcomed and celebrated.

But what truly makes Uma Kalai exceptional is its staff. They are, without exaggeration, some of the most attentive, kind and genuinely caring people we have ever encountered in a hotel. They constantly went above and beyond to make our stay personal, anticipating our needs and paying attention to the smallest details. What stood out most was that it never felt forced or simply like “good service” — they genuinely cared about making our experience unforgettable. Their warmth, kindness and personalities made us feel incredibly looked after throughout our entire stay.

The hotel itself is stunning. Everything is extremely new and beautifully designed, with an incredibly sophisticated and tasteful interior design. We stayed in one of the villas with a heated private pool, which we highly recommend. Being able to swim at any time of day or night, regardless of the weather or temperature, made the villa even more special.

The common areas are equally beautiful, but what we particularly loved was the atmosphere. Uma Kalai is incredibly peaceful, quiet and intimate. With only six rooms, it feels almost like having your own private retreat. We barely encountered other guests during our stay, which made the whole experience feel exclusive and incredibly personal.

And then there is the food.

Everything was perfect! The villas are beautiful, the common areas very well landscaped and the view from the common pool is gorgeous.
The service was spotless, attentive and warm.
We also tried the restaurant and the spa and were amazing.

Although the place is not in central Ubud, this is a plus as you won't get stuck in traffic and you get amazing views of the rice fields.

Uma Kalai is truly a magical place. Even in Bali, with its extraordinary resorts and its warm hospitality, Uma Kalai is in a league of its own - and we stayed in a total of three resorts in Bali on this (first) trip, so we do have a benchmark. Its small size makes it feel like a home, rather than a hotel. This is further enhanced by the culture of service and hospitality that each member of the team unfailingly displays. You feel welcomed, pampered and take excellent care of - and you feel it is genuine and effortless. Location, food, spa, villas, public areas, etc. are all top notch. I am certain there are more luxurious resorts in Bali, however you will struggle to have a better experience! Well done everyone.

What did I like the most? EVERYTHING. It's almost impossible to make a comprensive list about all what has made this place so special for us, but let's try. The villa itself: it's gorgeous, you feel the care and attention has been set in each corner, in each detail, it really deserves a five star category. It's not to a walkable distance from Ubud center, but that give a relax feeling that you cannot find in other hotels nearer (and anyway, we went to Ubud center each night by car in 20-25 minutes, no problem at all). Food is also a strong point: even if the menu is limited, every dish, from the breakfast until the lunch- dinner, is tasty and felt made with a lot of care. But what it really makes the difference in Uma Kalai is its people, all the staff... they were so attentive and kind, always looking for making your stay memorable, helping in every single aspect or doubt you could have. Eka, really sorry because we hadn't a proper goodbye, your help was absolutely priceless, thank you and thank you a thousand times again; Nami... what to say? You were so kind and sweet, and took care of all our meals, even preparing some special dishes when it was needed, thank you also again and again; and Ayu, Ade, Rana (who teached me so many interesting things about life and culture in Bali)... A BIG THANK YOU, you made our stay unforgettable!!!

Nice and quiet retreat, with excellent staff and great ambience!

I've been to many properties, Fairmont, Capella, Swissotel, Four Seasons, seriously nothing comes close to their services at this hotel. It was just out of my expectation! Nothing beats Bali for hospitality, and this stay sets an even higher bar for me now.

Uma Kalai, hizmet kalitesi açısından beklentilerimizin çok üzerinde bir deneyim sundu. Daha otele ulaşmadan çalışanlarla birlikte yer aldığınız bir WhatsApp grubu kuruluyor ve konaklama boyunca tüm taleplerinize çok hızlı şekilde karşılık veriliyor.

Odalar son derece şık ve özenli tasarlanmış. Gün içerisinde birden fazla kez temizlik yapılması, odanın her noktasında cam şişelerde temiz içme suyu bulunması ve genel hijyen seviyesi gerçekten etkileyici. Isıtmalı havuz büyük bir avantaj; duş alanının buhar odası gibi tasarlanmış olması da konaklamayı çok daha keyifli hale getiriyor. Mahremiyet ve temizlik konusunda gerçekten seviyeyi aşmışlar. Villanızda huzur içinde vakit geçirebilirsiniz.

Otelin restoranı oldukça başarılı, manzarası ise muhteşem. Çevredeki farklı restoranları da denedik ancak otelin restoranından daha iyisine denk gelmedik. Fiyat açısından da diğer fine dining restoranlardan daha iyi. Yöresel yemekleri tadabileceğiniz bu restoranda özellikle "dadar gulung" tatlısını denemelisiniz. Kahvaltı seçenekleri de gayet yeterli. Ayrıca sunumların mükemmelliği lezzet algınızı arttırıyor. Gastronomik olarak bizi gerçekten tatmin etti.

Bali’de sıkça bahsedilen böcek, maymun veya gekko gibi sorunlarla da karşılaşmadık. Bu nedenle özellikle ilk kez Bali’ye gelenlerin sosyal medyada gördüğü pek çok endişeyi burada yaşamasına gerek kalmıyor.

Tüm çalışanlar son derece samimi, yardımsever ve profesyonel. Konaklamamız boyunca başta Adi olmak üzere; Nami, Ayu, Jun ve diğer tüm çalışanlar her şeyle ilgilendiler ve oldukça keyifli ve sorunsuz zaman geçirmemizi sağladılar.Türkiye’de benzer bir hizmet seviyesine ancak en üst segment otellerde rastlanabilir.

Masaj için de oteli tercih ettik. Dışarıdaki farklı alternatiflere de baktık ancak hijyen ve salon atmosferi konusunda bizi en çok tatmin eden yer burası oldu. Hiç başka yer aramanıza gerek yok. Masörler de oldukça profesyonel.

Burada kaldığımız süre boyunca bir gün motorsiklet de kiraladık.

Pobyt w Uma Kalai przekroczył moje najśmielsze oczekiwania! Hotel jest po prostu zachwycający – kameralny, luksusowy i położony w przepięknym, spokojnym otoczeniu.

​Strefa spa i zabiegi są na najwyższym, światowym poziomie – masaż w ich wykonaniu to absolutna rewelacja i najlepszy relaks, jakiego doświadczyłam na Bali. Dodatkowo hotel oferuje wspaniałe atrakcje w cenie, które pozwalają poczuć prawdziwy klimat wyspy: joga na świeżym powietrzu z niesamowitym widokiem na pola ryżowe oraz wycieczka z przewodnikiem po lokalnej wiosce były cudownym dopełnieniem całego wyjazdu. Przemila, uważna obsługa sprawia, że człowiek czuje się tu zaopiekowany w każdym detalu. Gorąco polecam każdemu, kto szuka głębokiego resetu i luksusu w sercu natury!

Hôtel à taille humaine avec seulement six chambres, mais un service digne d’un cinq étoiles.
Notre séjour a été parfait du début à la fin. Tout était irréprochable : le confort, l’attention portée aux détails et surtout la qualité exceptionnelle du service.
Un immense merci à Adé, Jun, Ayu , Nonik et à toute l’équipe. Chacun a contribué à rendre notre séjour inoubliable. Leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et leur professionnalisme sont remarquables. Ils vont bien au-delà de leurs missions pour satisfaire leurs clients : ils prennent le temps de contacter des prestataires pour confirmer des adresses ou des rendez-vous, proposent d’excellentes activités et s’assurent en permanence que tout se passe parfaitement.
C’est l’une des meilleures expériences hôtelières que nous ayons eues. Si je devais attribuer une note, ce serait un 10/10, sans la moindre hésitation. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

I spent four amazing nights at Uma Kalai Hotel, and it was honestly one of the best hotel stays I've ever had.

Even before we arrived, Operations Manager Eka went above and beyond to make everything easy for us. She added me to the hotel's WhatsApp group, which made the booking, communication, and arrival process seamless and stress-free. That level of care set the tone for the entire stay.

From the moment we arrived, every member of the team was warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. I would especially like to thank Jun, Ade, Nami, Ayu, Nonik, Yuni, and Ariesta for their kindness, hospitality, and exceptional service throughout our visit.

Despite the hotel operating at full capacity, the staff always responded promptly to our requests and never made us feel that anything was too much trouble. Whether we needed assistance with arrangements, extra amenities, or had simple questions during the day, everything was handled quickly, efficiently, and always with a smile.

The villa itself was beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. A special thank you to Murni, Putu, Tu De, Gusde, Ria, Dedi, Budiasih, Tunjung, Kadek, Yuda, Rana, and Rauh for their outstanding housekeeping and villa care. The room was cleaned to an exceptional standard every day and always felt fresh, spotless, and inviting when we returned. Their attention to detail and hard work were truly impressive, especially considering how busy the hotel was.

The dining experience was another highlight of our stay. Breakfast was consistently well organized with an excellent selection of food, while dinner was equally enjoyable thanks to the attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. The team ensured every meal was served promptly, and we always felt genuinely well looked after.

Although we didn't have the opportunity to experience the spa, everything else exceeded our expectations.

The service is excellent. I am very impressed. Thank you Bu Eka and Pak Ade and the great team who have made our stay very comfortable. Thank you again Bu Eka for the afternoon tea. You guys have gone extra mile.
