The location of this property is great! It’s right next to the aquarium and the strip, close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There’s vending and ice machines on all the floors. Parking for us was super convenient in the deck, the rooms are right inside. Our room looked over the river and it was very nice to sit on the balcony.
The only thing I can think of is the loud music from Margaritaville next door, but it was only during the day and they turn it off in the evening.
The location of the Greystone Lodge was perfect. We were able to walk the main strip and navigate everything very easily. We arrived very early in town and the staff was able to provide a parking pass so we could go check out the town. We were able to get a room with a balcony over the river. It was very peaceful and relaxing sitting and listening to the water. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.
Not sure if this is good or bad, we wanted to see a bear while visiting, although we did not see a bear in town near the lodge, we did have evidence that a bear put two muddy paws on the windows look in. My daughter dropped some crackers on the floor, which might have attracted him.
This is not a make it or break it for me but the shower water did not get very hot.
Location
Room was very small with only 1 chair. There were 2 people in the room
It was a great location.
Breakfast could have had more options such as bacon or sausage.
Staff were incredibly kind! Breakfast was good. Location was excellent. Pool was refreshing, good temperature, towels provided. Shower pressure and temp were good.
Bed springs were felt during sleep. Room had a musky smell from A/C and age.
Being within walking distance of parkway and all attractions and shopping and food
Hotel needs a better breakfast selection. Add a precooked bacon, sausages, pancake
Our room was very comfortable and so was the bed. One of the beds made a weird noise and they fixed it right away. The front desk was very helpful. The property is well taken care of and the location was great for being able to walk everywhere.
The only complaint was the breakfast. There weren’t many choices and it was very disappointing.
Good location
A bit noisy
Beautiful view, perfect location! Staff was truly kind and seemed to really appreciate our business which is rare to find now-a-days. We came in 2023 and stayed at another location and they were not nearly as kind! We are now sold on this hotel every time we visit!
Didn't have hot water one morning but issue was resolved QUICKLY! This is not against the hotel but guests throw trash over the balcony and contaminate the land and beautiful view the hotel offers!
Every thing was very nice and clean. Staff were also very friendly.
Other than the tub drain not sealing good so that bath water would stay in the tub it was a great stay.
Your daily break fast is definitely a plus. Great selections and availability every day. Sitting area was pleasant and everything was very clean! Thanks!
1. The room lighting, despite several lamps, was dim. Part of the reason is the type of bulb light, which is grayish, giving the room an overall grayish hue. The lampshades further darken the available light.
2. Bathtub has no grab bar or anything else to hold on to, entering or exiting. Even 1 grab bar would be helpful...and safer, for any age.
We liked how close the hotel is to downtown Gatlinburg. Easy walking distance to most of the places we wanted to go during our stay. The only time we drove was to go into Pigeon Forge for an hour or two. It's also just across the road from Ripley's Aquarium so that was nice.
The rooms look like they haven't been updated in quite some time. A lot of the furniture is scuffed up. The biggest issue was how musty our room and the hallways and etc smelled. This is the second time we stayed here, and while we stay for walking/ convenience, we really do not like how musty and damp the hotel is. The bathroom fan barely works (we have experienced this both times in the last 3 years) which doesn't help with the moisture. Also the lighting in the room we stayed in was very minimal.
Terrible Experience – Bugs, Bad Milk, and Rude Staff!
My stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare! First, there were bugs in the room, totally unacceptable for the price I paid. Then, the breakfast milk was spoiled, which gave me serious diarrhea and completely ruined my trip. My friend, who drank less than me, had to run to the bathroom twice that morning.
When I complained, the staff responded in the rudest way possible, saying, "We check the milk every day, that’s not possible," in a haughty and dismissive tone. No apology, no concern, just denial.
Zero accountability, terrible hygiene, and awful customer service. Do not stay here unless you want food poisoning and disrespectful treatment.
Great location close to everything, yet set back with a creek running by our balcony/patio. The breakfast was good and there were some healthy items to choose from. The mattresses were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The cleaning staff did a great job as well.
The air conditioner blows right on the bed closest to it and there is no way to change the vent to a different angle.
