Go-to hostel and walkable distance from the city center
Pros:

A private house literally all by ourselves and really close to the city center. Had a good walk and experience staying here

a surprising beautiful homestay in the middle of Banyuwangi
Pros:

the location is very close to the city center, the staff was so friendly and the owner also very helpful on upgrtading my room, it's a small homestay with the lots and very comfortable

it was comfy and had good aircon!

Cons:

There was no receptionist. The location on booking.com was wrong and so we had to get our taxi driver to ring the place to find it. when we arrived only a care taker that knew no english was around. after that we didn’t see a soup untill we left. I tried to contact them via the message portal but nothing. really disappointing service

Nice and clean place for an overnight stay
Pros:

Great little home stay in a very friendly neighborhood close to the park and market.

Cons:

No one was home when I arrived and you are woken by the deafening call to prayer at 4am from several nearby mosques

Pros:

Housekeeper Mita was extremely kind and helpful with organizing our trips. The atmosphere was like at home. The place would be interesting also for those who want to have experience with real sound od muezins. There is great concentration of mosques all over the city. It is intensive experience from the heart of muslim world. The hostel is in close distance of nice beach promenade.

Cons:

Small option of taxis or tuk tuks on the streets of the city.

Clean accommodation with friendly staff
Pros:

Everything was very clean and the owner was very friendly. We asked for a booking modification and she agreed, very nice of her. Also, they prepared for us breakfast to take away.
