Kubu Pinge

The family was really nice, they made us feel at home from the minute we met until the moment we said goodbye to each other. The home-cooked food was great, the rooms were comfortable.

The staff, especially Madé the host mother, was simply fantastic. From the moment I arrived at Kubu Pinge she warmly welcomed me into her family compound where she lives with all her family. She was very generous and hospitable. The meals she cooked for me were different everytime but nothing changed about how delicious they were. I also appreciated it lots that I was given so many opportunities to interact and learn more about their culture, traditions and everyday life. Activities like a village/jungle/rice paddie walk, cooking class, purification ceremony in the local temple and weaving a hat out of coconut palm leaves were a great way to see the actual Bali. I recommend Kubu Pinge 100% because you really feel at home and you always have someone that will help you. And you get to live an authentic Balinese experience.

Als je echt eens tussen een familie op Bali wilt zijn, overnacht dan eens bij Kubu Pinge. Je verblijft bij een familie waar je een enkele kamer krijgt. De kamers liggen midden tussen het gezin. En ja, je zult de badkamer moeten delen (dus ook s nachts) maar je maakt het leven van deze mensen van dichtbij mee. Wanneer je gaat, denken wij dat 2 overnachtingen voldoende zijn. Aankomen en 's avonds mee eten, de volgende dag een kook workshop en een trekking s avonds nog een keer eten en de volgende dag weer vertrekken. Scooters te huur, mountainbike te leen. Made zorgt erg goed voor je! Wij hebben genoten.

Les chambres sont situées dans des logements traditionnels balinais. Made (la responsable) est une excellente cuisinière et propose des repas, variés, copieux et délicieux. Elle propose également des cours de cuisine balinaise intéressant car elle aime transmettre sa passion et l’héritage familial.
L’endroit est très calme, des balades culturelles sont possibles au départ de la maison à pied, elles sont faites par Nyoman et sont très instructives. Nyoman est pétillant et nous a ravis.
Notre journée était ponctuée de séances de musique balinaise pratiquées par le grand père de la famille.
Amateur de sensation forte et de fiesta, cet endroit n’est pas fait pour vous. Tous les autres, venez les yeux fermés.

From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed by Made, who instantly made us feel at home. Her family was also very friendly. Made did everything she could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was delicious and very generous.

Communication with the owner was easy, he responded quickly and was helpful throughout.

We chose this place for the experience, and it really delivered. We joined a fun cooking class, made music together, and went cycling. You can also rent a scooter for 150,000 rupiah to explore the surroundings, which is convenient since the location is a bit further away from town.

The room was clean and simple, with the bathroom located just outside the bedroom.

Owned by a local family, this place is truly warm and welcoming. The kindness of everyone here stands out—everyone is just so nice! The "teh beras merah" as their welcome drink was so goood!!

We came here for 2 nights with our two young children, and loved meeting this very welcoming and kind family. We also ate our dinners here, the best food we had in Bali. We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay in this beautiful place, and really enjoyed discovering local Balinese life.

Extremly kind family, very caring, always happy. We got an insight into Balinese family live and enjoyed being part of the family life for two weeks. Very good traditional meals and Gambelan musik. Many Thanks to the family.

Pinge is a small rural area, where you can see traditional balinese life. Kubu Pinge is a nice, warmhearted family-community. You can participate in many activities around their home or on the fields. We didn't know abou those opportunities before and so stayed for just one night. Better stay 2 or 3 nights! The room is basic and small, but clean and comfortable. Bathroom is around the corner, clean but cold water only. The breakfast was huge and delicious and playing an old traditional instrument with grandfather was an amazing experience. Thanks for the cool stay.
