This property is a beautiful old guest house in a heritage area. The host, James, is exceptional. He was generous with his hospitality and sharing stories of his very interesting life in Bombay over the years. It was a unique experience staying here and we'd highly recommend it.

L' hotel è nel cuore del piccolo delizioso quartiere Khotachiwadi di Mumbai. Varcando la soglia si ha l'impressione di entrare a casa di amici. Il Signor James ci ha accolti personalmente e Pandu si è preso cura di noi. Il mattino seguente ci è stata preparata una colazione buonissima molto molto presto per permetterci di arrivare in orario in areoporto. Arredamento tradizionale, si respira storia della città e della famiglia.

The house is unique, and the neighbourhood is incredible. Juve was also super kind, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay.
I could hear everything from the neighbouring room, and unfortunately, a group of people gathered right outside my window and were extremely loud until 3 a.m. It made it very difficult to sleep.
An authentic home stay. The host James made me feel very welcome and offered great advise for a visit to the city. The staff Pandhu and Zubair were very helpful and the food was delicious. The location is excellent, a little oasis In Mumbai. Air condioned rooms and comfortable

This is a great central position with easy access to many areas. The experience provided a more immersive experience of Mumbai than staying in a large hotel. James, our host and Pardu were engaging and helped us to use our time well in a very large bustling city
Monsoon season not the ideal time for exploring but we managed to get out and about.

Strong heritage value, carefully preserved artifcats
Bathrooms can be cleaner
I had booked this location for its proximity to the Reliance Foundation at Charni Road. My elderly uncle and aunt (70+ yrs) had appointments at the hospital and needed a location close by for the 3 days they were visiting.
Their stay was excellent! The place is clean and well run and well organized.
Priyanka the property manager was brilliant with her communication and responded to all my queries.
Pandu and Zubair who stay at the property to help with day to day running went above and beyond to help my uncle and aunt who were unfamiliar with the area. They even walked them to the hospital and called for taxis when they needed it.
Such heartwarming hospitality meant so much to my uncle and aunt who were initially afraid of having to navigate their way in Bombay.
Will definitely be booking this place again! Thank you once again to Priyanka, Pandu, and Zubair!
James is an amazing artist and host, a pleasure to stay at his family house, the staff, Jubair and Pandu where excellent caretakers . Would repeat any time

L’accueil chaleureux de Bandu et de James le propriétaire des lieux. Très généreux et arrangeant. Ils partagent volontiers leur expériences, ils sont également très arrangeant. Nous y retournerions avec plaisir.

The house was quaint and loaded with antiquities. I love antique pieces and spent a little time studying them. Everyone was friendly
The perception I had of the property based on the images shown on the website was quite different from the reality. I realized I was disappointed as soon as I entered the property.
The property could have been cleaner, less cluttered, and better maintained overall. In particular, the photo on the website showing the “typical breakfast” served was misleading and did not reflect the actual experience.
The guest house is rated as a 3-star property; however, in my opinion, it did not meet the standards expected of a 3-star establishment. An unmade bed in another room remained visible for several days after the previous guest had departed, which reflected poorly on housekeeping standards.
Overall, professionalism and attention to detail appeared to be lacking.
The stay here was relaxing, an awesome place . Zubair was very prompt and available. Great service! Great conversations!
