Brilliant place, will return, better than a swanky hotel!
Pros:

What a great place!
I usually stay in hotels but this place made me think I'm going to do more B and Bs now. It's a lovely house that you are lucky enough to be allowed to stay in.,right in the centre of a gorgeous little village with a great pub, what more could you want!
Sally, the host, met me as I arrived and showed me where to park, right outside.
She was so friendly and welcoming, I had a gorgeous room with TV, microwave, tea, coffee making facilities etc etc, incredibly comfortable king sized bed. Spotlessly clean. Just loved my time here, very easy access to main A30 road and to Dartmoor.
If you are even considering staying here, do it, you will not regret it I promise.

Cons:

It was all great

Such a kind welcome to a lovely home
Pros:

Sally was so kind and welcoming. I felt like a guest rather than a paying visitor. The room is very pretty and well decorated. The village is lovely and in such pretty countryside. I ate at the community pub across the village square which was great! Lovely food, proper local pub!

Pros:

It is very close to Drogo Castle. Good location to visit it.
Sally is a great hostess and a very friendly person. I left behind my phone charger and she send it to me on the post. I paid for the posting and it arrived without problem.

relaxing country village stay with experienced host.
Pros:

Sally is a welcoming and kind host, who is experienced at hosting and is great at local recommendations and makes a mean breakfast. She even went to the trouble of making a specific veggie lentil rissole for breakfast. the room was bright and airy and has a small fridge for little items and she also sells drinks if needed. The local pub has great lunches and meals. Walks all over but closest is down the lane to Fingle Bridge, a riverside inn with food, great dog walk. A lovely homely stay where our friendly greyhound was made so welcome :)

Excellent
Pros:

Sally is a fabulous host and was extremely welcoming. Excellent cooked breakfast. Room is not large but very clean and well appointed with mini fridge stocked with fresh milk and a microwave and huge selection of teas. Bathroom clean and great shower. You are right in the heart of the village and easy to park opposite or just round the corner. An excellent base for exploring Dartmoor and surrounds. Good wifi. The community pub across the square is busy in the early evenings with an ok menu at reasonable prices and beers straight from the keg. A wide range of supplies can also be bought from the church, which functions as an honesty shop (card payments accepted), of which you do still have a slight view from the room past the now-shrouded NT-owned cottages that burned. A walk or short drive to the unique Castle Drogo, which is worth a visit for NT members. Bring a small car. Highly recommended.

Cons:

Nothing. Room description says a 'terrace' with garden view, which is slightly misleading. Not all TV channels received (no BBC, for example) but why watch The box when you have tors to climb!?

Perfect we used it as little stopover but ideal to explore too.
Pros:

Sally was amazing, prior to us arriving she went above and beyond. We were running late and she went over and ensured the pub would still be able to serve us dinner. We had everything we needed, the room was lovely and bathroom great too. Breakfast was delicious. She also made our dog very welcome. Will stay again. Thank you Sally. What a great little place and people were so amazing.

Cons:

Nothing.

Cons:

Es gab nichts, was uns gestört hat.
