Cons:

We arrived earlier and stepped by to see if we could leave our backpacks in order to go hiking. We know they're not obliged to give this service, but we would have been ok with a no for an answer.
Instead, the owner didn't even open the door. He just stepped on the other side and screamed at us. We couldn't get what he was saying at the beginning. He just continued to scream louder "COME BACK AT 13:00" and left us there.
When we returned later he didn't even say sorry properly, and excused himself with some "difficult morning with no cleaning employees available"
No excuse it's good enough for the treatment he gave us. And to have to spend the night in a place with someone that screamed at you wasn't nice at all.

The place it's ok, but we felt very uncomfortable and non welcomed at all.

Cheap and near centre of Portree

Cons:

Instructed to take shoes off at door. I didn't think the sheets felt clean so slept on top of bed. Couldn't turn radiator down and my bed was butted up to it. Very impersonal place with paper thin walls

Cons:

There were a lot of strict restrictions placed on the usage of kitchen. Breakfast was only allowed from 7am to 10am and dinner from 5pm to 8pm. This bothered us with our trip plans as we frequently came to the house late at night. These rules were not mentioned beforehand. The owner also was quite disrespectful towards us when we had to leave in a hurry one day and could not properly clean it.

Un super moyen de passer la nuit à Portree pour pas trop cher
Pros:

L’emplacement est parfait, a 2 pas du centre de portree. Pouvoir utiliser la cuisine est top, avec plein de truc a disposition gratuitement comme le café. Le gérant était sympa et on était bien installé, la salle de bain avait l’air tres moderne.

Cons:

On entend quand même pas mal nos voisins de chambre, même si dans notre cas ça n’a pas été un problème. La salle de bain avec de sales traces d’humidité.

Pleasant stay with all the amenities we needed.
Pros:

We liked that breakfast options were included and that we had access to the kitchen and sitting room. It is also close to town and other amenities.

Cons:

We did not enjoy the check in process. We could not get in the first two times we tried and then we had to contact the owner again to let us in personally. Travelling without a phone is not always the best idea.

Spartano. Come appoggio per la notte fa il suo dovere.
Pros:

Camera a 5 minuti a piedi dal molo di Portree. Possibilità di fare tea and coffee in stanza. Bagno pulito.

Cons:

Odore stantio in camera. Bagno (privato) fuori dalla camera. Camera “adattata” a matrimoniale ma che non ha dimensioni per poterlo essere tant’è che nemmeno ci stava un piccolo armadio (le dimensioni della camera onestamente erano però dichiarate in annuncio). Colazione da prepararsi in cucina condivisa (non ci sono tavoli sufficienti per il numero di ospiti).

Séjour conforme, mais échanges avec l’hôte assez froids et réduits au strict minimum.
Pros:

L'emplacement géographique est particulièrement apprécié. La salle de bain est spacieuse. Le chauffe serviette est apprécié.

Cons:

Nous aurions apprécié un accueil plus chaleureux au niveau de l'accueil et des échanges lors du séjour avec la propriétaire.
