Seperate 2 bedroom unit above owners home. 1 twin room and 1 double bedroom, dining area, terrace and covered outdoor seating area. 2 small shops 15 meters up the road, river 20 meters down the road, 1 restaurant opposite the house. Breakfast is different every day, traditional local food, enough to keep you going all day!

Location and cleanliness.

Very humble & down to earth people, made our stay very enjoyable, helped us with recommendations, how to travel and where to, the place is comfortable, cosy, value for money and very close to the station, the boating point and a restaurant right across the road, they were very sweet, helpful and made our holiday experience very enjoyable!

The hosts were very nice and helpful. For an additional fee, you could buy a delicious, homemade breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. Very good value for money. Recommend.

A cozy apartment near the river, run by a very kind family. The breakfast is very nice, and the place is located in front of a very good restaurant.

Loved staying here! We only got to stay one night but we enjoyed every moment. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the balcony was cute and perfect for our little card game in the evening. Sujaya even provided me with hot water for a shower since I was feeling a bit under the weather The food was so delicious! Sujaya is an excellent cook! They helped us to reserve our boat ride for the morning which was awesome and the breakfast afterwards was a wonderful finish to our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts are so sweet and welcoming, you will really feel at home. So grateful we stayed here.

Very welcoming and comfortable homestay from a very kind family. They offered tasty vegetarian breakfast for 100rp. Location is quite convenient, though would be nice to have bikes to rent nearby. Steven's restaurant just in front is very Kerala legit.

Kaarthu and her family were so lovely and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and the food was incredible! This was the perfect place to stay on munroe island - and a sociable set up to chat with other travellers.

Its a simple yet very clean, and charming homestay, the family is so nice, and service oriented. The daughter, Kaathu, knows english very well, and she will Help and organize anything from canoeing/boating, tea/coffe dinner or breakfast and autorickshaw to the train station. I recommend it!
BTW as for now- 30/1/2023 the took the sighn with the name to repaint it, so use the google maps - it give the precise place.

What an amazing stay on Munroe Island thanks to Karthika and her parents! The house is lovely and the room is really comfortable, with an area for meals and a terrace to share only with a second room.
Karthika went above and beyond by helping us book all the activities we wanted! We went on a typical canoe ride on arrival for sunset (it was ready within 5’ after asking we were amazed) you can borrow the bikes to go around the island. We rented some kayak for another sunset and canoe again for sunrise which we recommend very much! We had dinner on both night there and the food cooked by her mother was very typical and delicious! Her dad was very welcoming and we felt very well looked after.
