Tunnel Gap Homestay

Man fühlt sich sofort wie Zuhause ist gleich Teil der Familie. Man hat sich total willkommen gefühlt und es war schön, einfach bei einer Tasse Tee zusammen zu sitzen und miteinander zu quatschen. Die Veranda ist super gemütlich und hätten wir nicht weiterziehen müssen würde ich da heute noch liegen. Das Frühstück war super lecker. Ich würde die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen und wenn ich mal wieder in Ella sein sollte, würde ich nur diese Unterkunft wählen.

Wat een heerlijk verblijf hebben we hier gehad! Fijne aankomst, hele lieve gastvrouw en dochters. Waanzinnige plek, je bent zo lopend in het centrum. Top locatie. Ook in de buurt van theefabriek, little Adams peak en het treinstation van Ella en de nine arch bridge. Wij hebben alles lopend gedaan. Heerlijk ontbijt gehad. Fijne gesprekken, we kijken terug op een mooi verblijf in Ella! Beste van de hele vakantie!

​We had such a wonderful stay here! The location in Ella is absolute perfection, but what truly makes this place special is the host. She is amazing and very friendly, and always ready to help with anything you need.

​A big bonus is that the property is entirely women-led, which creates such a welcoming and warm atmosphere.

If you choose to stay at the Tunnel Gap, male sure you don't miss the breakfasts (delicious!!) and the Cooking Class!H Hghly, highly recommended if you want to try authentic flavors!

f you love animals, you'll adore the garden. There are five adorable kittens roaming around, each one cuter than the last!

Amazing location, so close to railway station and city centre. Amazing host, so friendly and accommodating, helped us with visa extension. Breakfast was delicious and so fresh. Room was so comfortable and had an amazing nights sleep. Wish we could have stayed longer.

So close to the centre of town but away from all the bustle. Surrounded by tea plantations. A lovely veranda to sit out on. Very friendly family with so many gorgeous cats, dogs and a kitten. Great cookery lesson.

Quelle expérience extraordinaire que d'avoir séjourné chez Sudha ! Son accueil est exceptionnel et l'on se sent immédiatement comme à la maison.

Je recommande cet établissement à tous ceux qui passent par Kandy. Nous y retournerons sans la moindre hésitation.

Les lits sont très confortables et les petits-déjeuners sont délicieux, copieux et préparés avec beaucoup de soin, un régal!

Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié ses deux filles, qui sont vraiment adorables et ont contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable.

Nous avons été vraiment tristes de partir et regrettons de n'y être restés que trois nuits.

Un immense merci à Sudha pour sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité et sa générosité. Ce séjour restera l'un des plus beaux souvenirs de notre voyage au Sri Lanka.

We truly enjoyed every minute in this homestay. Great base location for our 3 days in Ella ; quite, nice outdoor facilities, wonderful breakfast.....and Sudha (the owner) was the cherry on the pie ! What a warm welcome and hospitality troughout our stay. Definitely to recommend if you're looking for a true Sir Lankian experience

Our host Sudha was so lovely and welcoming. The location is perfect with beautiful views close enough to town. We did the cooking class too which I would highly recommend great food and lovely atmosphere cooking with a Sri Lankan family.

Super fijn verblijf gehad, Sudha is zo’n enorm lieve vrouw. Ze heeft heel erg goed voor ons gezorgd, we hebben lekker met haar gekletst en ze heeft ons kookles gegeven wat super leuk en erg lekker was! Ook heeft ze nog onze kleding gewassen, al met al een top verblijf, hele dikke aanraader!!!!
