It was an excellent Guest House.
Room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed and it was a good location to the main city. Peter also sorted the parking before we arrived so we did not need to find alternative parking to stay here. Friendly, welcoming and made sure we were comfortable while we stayed.
Peter the Host was delightful from original communication to welcoming me and helping with my big suitcase. I loved the spacious room and sitting area with its lovely views and big comfy bed. Having a fridge was a bonus as well. The townhouse is full of character and it was a lovely walk into town and other areas of interest around me. Thankyou Peter for helping me make wonderful memories of York 🤗
There was nothing I did not like.
Lovely comfortable room, very well fitted out and extremely spacious - it could easily have been converted into two rooms. Shared bathroom on the same floor (only shared with one other room). Peter also provided tea, coffee, fresh milk, and cookies in the room!
Be aware that breakfast is not provided and you may have to walk quite a bit to find somewhere that serves breakfast if you want more than a cup of tea. (No complaints as Peter made this clear when booking, but if you prefer someplace that provides breakfast it may be useful to know.) As there's a small fridge in the room, there's also the option of buying something the previous day to keep in it overnight.
Townhouse location is great for the Town and walk to Train Station.
Townhouse is well equiped and very comfortable. Peter checks in with you to make sure you are ok or need anything. Just lovely.

Beautifully presented historic property. Set in a very quiet street, yet close to all amenities. Excellent room with everything one could possibly need. Lovely private en-suite, comfortable bed. Excellent!

A number of included refreshments, a designated parking spot (which was a real relief as city parking can be costly) and a comfy bed. The location allowed an easy walk into the centre.
The shared bathroom was well maintained throughout our stay, however at times the fact that it was shared with other guests did make it difficult to prepare for the day ahead. It is well located, though there were some unsavory characters that we found lingering on the street around our designated parking spot.
Excellent location - 10/15 min walk into the main town area! Absolutely lovely room - very clean and Peter the host was so lovely and always checked in on us to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. It was my first experience of having a shared bathroom and I was a little apprehensive but I really didn't need to be - it worked perfect and the bathroom itself was wonderful. Thanks Peter - I will be back :)
