Mayuram Homestay

Overall, I was very happy with our stay at this homestay in Hampi. Since Hampi is a small village, I didn’t expect anything luxurious, and the photos already showed that the room was quite basic. However, it had everything we needed, including a private bathroom with a shower and hot water, so we were perfectly satisfied.

The owner has four rooms and was very kind and welcoming. What I particularly appreciated was that he didn’t bother us with unnecessary offers or constantly try to sell us additional services. He doesn’t run a café either, which meant we were free to choose wherever we wanted to eat without feeling any pressure.

The room didn’t have air conditioning, but the fan worked very well. There was even a clothesline positioned underneath the fan, so we could wash our clothes ourselves with soap and hang them up to dry. They dried surprisingly quickly, which meant there was no need to pay extra for a laundry service. The owner also provided towels, toilet paper, and soap, which was a nice touch.

The location is another major advantage. I would definitely recommend staying somewhere near Hampi Bazaar, as this makes it easy to explore the surrounding area during the cooler morning hours before it gets too hot. Most places in Hampi are well located, but staying in this area is particularly convenient for sightseeing.

I must admit that I was initially a little worried about booking this homestay because it was relatively inexpensive. Other accommodation options cost more, and some were almost twice the price. However, considering what we paid and what we received in return, I was pleasantly surprised.

If you’re looking for affordable, simple accommodation in Hampi, I would definitely recommend this place. Don’t be put off by the low price or the basic appearance of the rooms. You get everything you need for a comfortable stay, a kind owner, and excellent value for money.

Très bonne homestay dans le petit village de Hampi. Juste ce qu'il faut. Nous y avons passé un très bon séjours. Prévoyez plusieurs jours Hampi est vraiment magnifique, il y a beaucoup de chose à voir.

Great location,5 minute walk to the river and ferry over to the Northside. There were 2 cafes within a 1 minute and 3 minutes walk. Staff there were very good as was the food. The rooms are near to various shops and stalls, and 5 minutes from tuk tuks keen to show you the temples.

A couple of issues were dealt with no fuss, and either Ravi or his brother Shashi were close by when needed.

Location and welcoming nature of the owner

The owner went out of his way to make my stay memorable. Every thing was perfect. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect. Great value for money. Close to all the amenities and the tourist attractions. Thanks for a wonderful stay Sir. Would recommend this hotel anytime. It’s absolutely perfect.
