Beautiful location and really fascinating property. Michael and Sue were very lovely hosts and took time to chat to us as well as recommend things in the area. A unique experience in a beautiful part of Malaysia. Highly recommended.
Host was outstanding. The breakfast very good. Views amazing
If you dont hike, there's really nothing much to do 😄
Nasi lemak was delicious.
Beautiful view and tranquil atmosphere
Takes a bit longer than expected to get to the city, but that’s the price to pay for peace. Well worth it!
Kairos Villa is such a serene and scenic abode. It is perfect for travelers who wish to relax and unwind in a cool environment some 350m above sea level. The view from the rooftop is simply stunning and therapeutic. Furthermore, the hosts (Michael and Sue) are very friendly and hospitable. The nasi lemak breakfast was delicious, especially with the sambal petai.
Surrounded by nature, fresh air & great view.
Road is narrow. Quite a challenge driving up & down. And have to avoid driving at night.
Just the location, which is great
Disappointing Stay: High Price, Low Standards
After reading the mainly positive reviews about this property it was an easy decision the pay the high price for this accommodation. We expected an exceptional service, extremely clean a property. Had we just known how wrong we were!
The only positive thing we can say about this accommodation is that the location is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. Unfortunately, that is where the compliments end, as the property severely lacks in every other area, making it an extremely poor value for the high price charged.
The pricing is completely unjustifiable; the rate charged is comparable to what you would pay for an almost 4-5-star hotel experience in Kuala Lumpur. What we received was anything but.
The fundamental issue was cleanliness and maintenance. The air conditioning filter was disgustingly filthy, so much so that we had to clean it ourselves, since there was no air flow at all. The bathroom was in a terrible state, lacking even a basic shower curtain, the tiles were noticeably dirty, and the water drain in the sink was almost completely blocked. There is only a part time lady from Indonesia present, we think that doing all the house keeping alone might be too much for 1 person only.
The food service was equally substandard and offensively overpriced. Meals were extremely basic—for instance, the curry appeared to be made from a pre-cooked supermarket pack. Furthermore, the dinner prepared by the lady was made in the afternoon, and we were expected to warm it up ourselves in the evening. They charged a ridiculous RM 138 for this standard dish for two people, an item that would typically cost around RM 15/person at a local food court. This blatant overcharging for low-quality, self-service food is simply unacceptable.
Fantastic view at upper deck. Peace & quiet.
The road travelling in is quite narrow.
There are common areas where we can see the view of surroundings. Unfortunately, it was raining season. So, we can't see the beautiful view during sunrise as shown in the pictures.
The stairs are a little bit steep for overweight person like me hahaha The road to the place was a little bit challenging. Suggest to mention in the place's information as well. This helps to guide for the first timer. Another suggestion for consideration is that more discreet placement of the alcoholic beverages would help to ensure comfort and inclusivity for all guests, especially the muslim guests.
Very warm and homely vibe, made better with our super friendly hosts Michael and Sue.
Highly recommend for a short family/friend staycay.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and truly made us feel like part of their family. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the stresses of work, this is the perfect getaway surrounded by nature. One thoughtful gesture that stood out was when my sister had a stomach ache—the host kindly provided medicine, which we were so grateful for. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place 100%!
