Pros:

This place is beautiful - a private family home with a large garden. We loved the location - quiet, off the beaten track, peaceful, with a staggering view of the ocean from the lava cliffs. The room was beautiful, with a great bathroom and beautiful facilities. We had everything we needed for our self catered stay. The hosts are lovely, friendly and helpful. The avocados and lemons from the fruit trees were much appreciated! We couldn't fault the facilities at all, and loved our stay.

Cons:

We were very lucky to have the whole place almost to ourselves for the week we stayed. It wasn't clear to us from the listing that the property is a private home, with the rooms being accessed through the owner's living room. We also didn't know the garden was a campground. We would have appreciated that information being more upfront and obvious in the listing.

Definitely a great place, (maybe the best) to stay at when on the Big Island of Hawai'i.
Pros:

The location is amazing, room was clean, pool was great/clean, host was very nice and gracious, the dogs were calm and friendly, and the views were to die for. It's close to the 2018 lava flows and beautiful jungle drives.

Cons:

I liked everything, but some travelers should be aware that this is not on the island side where the sandy beaches are and you'll need a car to get there.

Pros:

The location is stunning and hosts were very nice! Room was big and beautiful and the grounds were lovely

Cons:

Could have had more amenities for cooking on site. If you dont plan to cook a lot there is nothing wanting.

A real find off the beaten path.
Pros:

The property is beautiful & well-loved. We liked the salt water pool & privacy.

Cons:

The location is pretty remote, but that is fine with us. We visit family on the Big Island frequently so tourist attractions are not our thing.

Zero privacy, both from the owners who are constantly intrusive, holding family reunions in the facilities, and from campers who inappropriately look into your room and make noise by using the hot tub and swimming pool next to your “luxury suite”. Impossible to leave the window open at night without the risk of campers who were still using the hot tub late at night looking into your bed and nightwear and intimate night-time activities.
Unannounced presence during morning ritual of people who started taking photos of the accommodation (estate agent???) ... very intrusive

Four dogs that do not listen, bark aggressively at every arrival on the property and are constantly present despite indicating that the guest is afraid of dogs. Unexpected presence in the “suite” - due to unhygienic conditions (drinking and presence in the swimming pool and hot tub), we did not want to use these facilities.

“Luxury suite” is a completely exaggerated term: the room is old-fashioned, a number of things do not work properly (shower, ventilation), camping-level catering facilities: inadequate and insufficient equipment to prepare a meal yourself in a region where you have to drive 40 km to find a decent restaurant (2 old plastic plates, rusty spoon, 1 pan, plastic glasses, etc.), all piled up in a wardrobe. Air conditioning inadequate and very noisy.

In our opinion, the ‘overrating’ on booking.com (consistently above 9/10) can only be attributed to the satisfaction of campers and tenants of rooms located far away on the estate, who are allowed to use the facilities located opposite your ‘luxury suite’.

We feel cheated for the price we paid

After a 3-week honeymoon in Hawaii with accommodation on 4 islands, each time with a choice of luxury accommodation, this is the first place we are happy to leave...

Pros:

Site enchanteur en bord de mer !!! Une belle grande piscine pour se rafraîchir le jour et le hot tub pour les soirées. La chambre est bien équipée, petit réfrigérateur, micro-ondes… La vue est splendide. Très tranquille et des hôtes disponibles et aidants.

Wir hatten einen erholsamen und schönen Aufenthalt und fühlten uns wie im Paradies.
Pros:

Die Ausstattung und die großen Räume. Es ist ein privates Wohnhaus und es werden dort Räume vermietet, wir hatten die Mastersuite. Das Haus liegt separat und man fühlt sich nicht wie im Hotel.

Very pleasant stay

The house is amazing, its location simply stunning. Sunrise is a pleasant wake up for every morning. The room was very clean and full of every stuff you need. The host warmly welcomed us… hope to come back soon.
