I hardly know where to start!
Firstly, our hosts Valarie and Phil, are dead set legends! Their communication regarding our stay was timely and very helpful, especially when it came to parking our hire car. Valarie even came and met us to lead us to our accommodation, which was devine. An added guest house beside their own residence, furnished beautifully and Valarie had thought of everything. If you needed something you would surely find it in the room. The view from the room is simply stunning and the position is fabulous. Short walk to many shops, pubs, restaurants and the harbour. We enjoyed our stay immensely and loved being able to have great conversations with Valarie and Phil, and having a few puppy cuddles with Poppy. Cannot fault our stay. Thanks so much for hosting us. Phil and Valerie are the most welcoming hosts sharing helpful information before and greeting us on arrival. Would stay back here in a heartbeat! The location is perfect and a short walk from the river, restaurants and bars. The room was clean and has everything you could need for a stay. Very comfy bed too!

Valarie met me at the bus stop and very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, bed comfy, good tea and coffee facilities with a little tipple thrown in. Shower very good. The view from the outside patio was lovely and a short walking distance from the town.

I loved the friendly and effective communication pre visit, made me feel welcome before I even arrived. Very accommodating with my check in/out requests due to travelling out of season. Extra touches such as milk, water and a welcome cider made me smile. I arrived a stranger and left feeling like a friend. I would highly recommend.

The location was great,for the town and water front. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm.A great choice of teas, etc. Nice to have fresh milk, even a tipple in the fridge. Private space to sit outside,was lovely.

I had a lovely stay at the property. Only a 5 minute walk into the center of town. The self contained on-suite room was finished to a very high standard. With a very comfortable bed. With views over the Darmouth area. It is entered via a door and steps onto stunning views from the properties sun deck. The hosts were very welcoming, and the room was furnished with guidebooks and other things a visitor would wish to know about the area. Even a selection of teas, and the mini fridge was very usefull. Would recommend for a central location.

The quality towels & shower gels-the shower was amazing-the generous selection of teas & coffee & general attention to detail. Val & Phil were very friendly as was their lovely dog, Poppy.

South Ford Haven is a perfect, quiet place to stay and be based in the centre of Dartmouth. It’s is small (as stated) but everything has been thought of and everything needed is provided. The bed is comfortable, the shower is powerful, the location is brilliant, and the price is very affordable. What’s more Valarie and Phil are wonderful hosts, very kind and welcoming and offer good recommendations too. This is the second time staying and it won’t be the last! Thank you again Valarie and Phil, I would recommend staying here.
