I returned to Chackalakkal Homestay at the end of my time in Kerala and they even let me stay one more night due to change in my travel plans - thank you!

Everything was great--our hosts welcomed us warmly and helped us with some information. The room was spacious and comfortable. The area was quiet and we slept well. We were walking distance to the touristy areas of Fort Kochi and just a short autorickshaw ride away from Mattancherry.

Great location, nice and helpful hosts, soft comfortable beds, everything worked well.

The stay was close to all the attractions in the area and we could cover it all by foot . And the rate was on budget compared to other hotels and if you are not looking for a luxurious feel and aesthetics of the stay but a place to sleep and keep your things safe , this is a good place . They had hot water in the bathroom and provided a kettle to use . Blanket and bathtowels and a soap .

Great quiet place to stay near the center. Spacious room, great hot shower, friendly and helpful family, lovely garden and good breakfast. Packed breakfast is possible if you have to leave early.

Very clean and quaint property. Lovely hosts who were very welcoming and helpful. They recommended us some things to do in Kochi and helped us organise. The room was very clean and perfect escape from the afternoon heat.

Cozy place, clean and close to the shops and restaurants (easy walking distance, no problems at night). Bed is very comfy, fan room was fine for February. Hosts were friendly and communicative, helped organise getting laundry done. I ended up extending an extra night, would stay here again!

The location was perfect, within walking or cycling distance from Fort Kochi beach, but far away enough to be really quiet. The room was big, airy, with lots of daylight, very clean, and mosquito screens on all the windows. The owners are charming and very helpful in every way.

The stay at Chackalakkal was excellent. The hosts were super friendly. It was located in the centre and proximity to fort kochi beach, veli ground, water metro station and beautiful streets like Princess, Quiros, Burgher street and all other famous ones. Famous Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Grocery stores, Clothing and Restaurants are all walkable distance.

The best part is the owners, they are so lovely. If you want to feel safe and welcomed, stay here. My boyfriend needed a parcel delivered of something important he left in the last hotel, and when delivery failed, the husband personally took him to the post office. Thank you so much.
