A luxurious little seaside sanctuary
Pros:

We had a really relaxing two days and nights at Deep Blue and wished we could have stayed longer! The rooms and gardens are beautifully designed, with a good sized pool and different places to sit and lounge. And we really enjoyed using the free bicycles to explore the local area and other nearby beaches.

Pros:

I loved the peaceful, serene, calm ambience. The villa is very comfortable and I loved the interior designing of the rooms. Very artistic, thoughtful and antique type. The rooms were clean. The pool was really nice. It's a safe, calm place away from noisy crowds. Definite place to visit if you prefer to be away from the bustling crowds and get away into quiet nature with a private beach.

Cons:

I would have loved if there was a telephone to call room service but overall great experience.

A hidden gem
Pros:

A gem of a place nestled in a super quiet corner of Matara, right next to quite a pretty canal (that none of the other reviews seemed to have mentioned). And obviously the sound of sea while you're falling asleep in a hammock is unparalleled. The rooms were huge and really pretty to look at. The manager Ruzaik was super accommodative and had excellent suggestions regarding things to check out nearby. 10/10 would stay again

The placement of the air conditioning with respect to the bed was kind of inconvenient but that's about it

Relaxing in paradise
Pros:

Super nice design, everything was clean, the host ist very friendly and has many recommendations. He helped us a lot to arrange our travels moving forward. There is a big pool and a small private beach which is especially great for swimming during the morning. We can highly recommend staying here 🥰

Pros:

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und wären gerne noch länger geblieben! Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und das Hotel ist wunderschön mit einem großen Pool direkt am Meer. Wir durften sogar länger bleiben am Abreisetag und den Pool weiter nutzen. Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker!

Super!
Pros:

Heerlijk lokaal strand op 10 min afstand. Niet druk en weinig toeristen. Waar de schildpadden nog ongestoord voorbij komen zwemmen. Met kleine kinderen was het heel fijn afgesloten, konden lekker spelen.

Cons:

Helaas waren er honden 's nachts gekomen en hadden kleding en schoenen kapot gemaakt. Werd wel heel netjes door de eigenaren opgelost en zelfs één vergoeding aangeboden!

The peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Access to kitchen and cooking facilities. Able to buy local grab seafood and have our own bbq

Highly recommend - the perfect stay!
Pros:

It is an absolutely beautiful place where you can fully switch off as it is so quiet and a peaceful area. The pool is wonderful and near to Polhena Beach. There are bikes you can use at the property to go to the shops etc. The staff are incredible, and very welcoming, and the gardens are kept immaculately with so many beautiful trees. They thought of everything including putting insect repellent coils out every evening.
