The Canal View Hotel is ideal for a few days, and the location was perfect for us.
Pros:

There was no breakfast option but plenty of places to grab a bite, there was a coffee station at the ground floor and a kettle in our room to make tea, the location was great, we loved our view out of the top floor window onto the canal. The area was perfect and we did lots of walking from here, there are also a boat taxi stops right near the hotel, perfect for your day trips etc. The aircon was a huge bonus as it was an extremely hot summer.

Location great. Just out of too busy tourist area, great restaurants nearby. Enjoyed balcony, although small but lovely. Best view of the canal.

Really enjoyed our stay and would come again !
Pros:

Hotel is within walking distance of main attractions, the train station and the bus station as well as boat transport stations.
The room was very clean and welcoming. Beds very comfortable and sheets good quality. Comfortable pillows. Had 2 nights of good sleep!!
Plenty of hot water and a spacious bathroom.

Cons:

One small niggle is that the water does not drain quickly from the shower base (floor too level?).
We were on the ground floor so did not expect wonderful views and were hardly there so views were not an issue .

Pros:

The location was quiet and close to the water taxi and the train. Host was very nice, check in was easy, and the room was comfortable and clean. Neighborhood has lots of places to sit by the canal and have a spritz or some snacks
