Pros:

The place is exactly as advertised. I had a comfortable stay. Place was clean and close to the lagoon and park, where you will find restaurants.

Pros:

We stayed five days in Casa Bonzay and enjoyed our stay! The location is quiet, room is spacious and the owner Zayed is really friendly. We loved that there is kitchen and beautiful balcony for guests to use. We also did the boat tour with Zayed and it was great! Would love to come back!

Pros:

Bon emplacement, petite maison calme. Cuisine propre et pratique. Grande chambre.
Terrasse à l'étage pour petit déjeuner au soleil.
Fil pour étendre son linge dehors (pratique après l'avoir lavé à la laverie et qu'on ne veut pas passer les vêtements au sèche-linge).

Cons:

Lit très dur.
Le personnel, que nous n'avons pas vu, nous a accusés d'avoir laissé la climatisation allumée et la vaisselle sale lors de notre départ alors que tout ceci est faux.

I would return here again and again and again

Perfect place to stay in Bacalar
Pros:

Casa Bonzay is the perfect place to stay in Bacalar. Good room with fast wifi. Well equiped kitchen, and nice balcony to spend some time. Good location only a few blocks from the main square and the lake. The owner Zayed is very friendly and helpful, he also runs Bonzay Tours and with him a did a great tour on the lake which you should not miss. If I ever will return to Bacalar then is this my place to stay again.

Fantastic location, safe, well stocked kitchen for shared use, host was very friendly and helpful. Nice patio up top.

Cons:

Bed was a bit hard but we still rested fine for the 3 days we were there. Great value for the cost and would definitely stay there again.

Cocina super equipada, vajilla y utensilios de cocina en buen estado y todo muy limpio. Terraza preciosa donde disfrutar de las tardes/noches. Habitación muy limpia y funcional. Fácil acceso. Muy buena ubicación cerca del centro caminando. Recomendaciones del anfitrión y contactos de servicio de taxi.

Nous avons apprécié l’emplacement du logement à deux pas du lagoon des 7 couleurs. Zayed, notre hôte, était absolument charmant et très réactif en toutes circonstances. La terrasse était également très appréciable, je recommande fortement ce logement.

Lovely family run guest house in heart of Bacalar
Pros:

Lovely guest house in centre of Bacalar. Easy walk from bus stop. Supermarket and lagoon in easy walking distance. Good communication during stay. Great kitchen and big shared fridge. Great restaurant and bar next door. Totally recommend.
