The size of the room is good and it had a small patio which was in shade which was very nice. The location is quiet and it is budget priced.
While the location is quiet it is a little isolated from the main Temple complex and there are no restaurants within easy walking distance (homestay does have meal options).
The overall cleanliness could be improved along with some other comfort improvements all of which I shared directly with the managing staff.
Size of the room
We arrived around 8.30 pm. We called the hotel if they can arrange the pickup from the railway station but they asked to pay 300 for the tuktuk and 500 if we want a taxi. We did not take their offer and came by ourselves paying 130 to the tuktuk. The road to the hotel was terrible. All broken and very far from the main western group of temples and no access to the main road. So if you want to go out you would only have the option to get the tuktuk from the hotel. We made a mistake when booking, we booked a room but forgot to mention 2 adults, so the guy at the reception first said it is okay but later asked to pay double the price, but I checked the price on booking.com , it was less. There was a dance festival going on in the temples. He asked us if we want to go to the festival, i can arrange the tuktuk and told it would go on till 12 midnight, but it ended at 10 pm. He told us not to buy food from the festival because it is expensive. The next morning they served the breakfast which was included in the booking and i asked for a paratha but he said they do not have the ingredients to make it and only option was poha which he served and was burnt. We were checking out the next day and asked them if we can keep our luggage and take it later, he denied and asked us to pay extra for 1 night. He only wanted to take more money out of your pocket at every step. . We chose the hotel because of the reviews but it was completely opposite to the reviews. Terrible experience

Good hospitality. Big rooms with attached washroom. Open area, garden and terrace. Everything was very neet and clean. Host Neeraj and Krishna both persons are very helpful. They're very good in nature. I enjoyed my stay.
I had a fantastic stay at Prem’s Homestay—easily one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve had in recent times. From the warm welcome to the exceptional hospitality, everything exceeded expectations.
The host, Prem, is amazing—kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with local tips, transport, or even a friendly chat over tea. His genuine care adds a personal touch that makes the stay feel truly special.
The property is spotless and beautifully maintained. Marble floors, spacious rooms, and tasteful decor give it a surprisingly luxurious vibe, especially for the price. It’s peaceful and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
The food was another highlight—delicious, home-cooked meals full of authentic flavors. It felt like eating at home.
Pro tip: Go for the AC room if you're visiting during summer—it gets hot, and the extra comfort is worth it.
The location is quiet yet conveniently close to all major attractions in Khajuraho.
Overall, a perfect blend of comfort, affordability, and heartfelt hospitality. Highly recommended for all kinds of travelers!
Best place we've stayed in India!
Everything is clean! Like actually clean! And so comfortable! The rooms are spacious and have natural light, but are also fresh and cool inside even when it's hot outside. Screens on all the windows so we never had problems with mosquitoes. Very quiet and peaceful.
The sunsets and stars are magical from the rooftop, and you can watch the local kids playing cricket. The garden is pleasant and we had fresh papayas from the tree. We were allowed to use the kitchen anytime we needed, and the homestay also offers delicious food at good prices.
The wifi is good: electricity does cut out pretty frequently everywhere in Khajuraho but it generally comes back within a minute or two, and there is good cellphone reception at Prems Homestay so you can back up with data if you're a digital nomad and need to work.
The area is about 15 minutes walk from the main road, a pleasant stroll past wheat fields and water buffalos and friendly children all saying hello. It's like stepping into the past, where everything is simple and kind and safe. You can also easily get rickshaws to pick you up if you don't want to walk. The value for money is fantastic, totally worth staying here even if it's a few minutes farther from town.
Prems Homestay has two buildings and a range of rooms with different prices. We stayed in the cheapest one and even that was absolutely perfect. We spent 12 days and could happily have stayed more.
Mr. Neeraj and Mr. Manu were so attentive and helpful, by the time we left they felt like friends. They cleaned every day, made sure we had everything we needed, and were also super respectful and chill, so I would have felt perfectly comfortable and safe even as a solo female. Mr. Neeraj speaks perfect English and can answer any questions. They were also kind enough to let us do early check-in and late check-out, and even helped us buy our train tickets.
1000% recommend.
Everything was good
My #1 place in India. Clean, big room with toilet, a balcony and garden, good wifi. breakfast included. Awesome, cheap villa's rooms run by very honest and professional manager and extremely helpful kitchen boy. They give and offer you much more than you pay for. I love it.
None.
Host did all to provide full support, loved the hospitality, price of Rs. 400 was a steal deal
If you don't like venting into a village interior, then this not for you.
Also, if you have a vehicle, going thru rough and compressed village streets might be challenging and difficult.
Once you are there, they will take care of you!
It was a great stay! Calm, quiet place. Casual homely vibes. Sunny Bhai was also very helpful and kind. It is budget-friendly too. They need to keep a bicycle at all times and it would be absolutely perfect.
Right on the edge of town, an authentic village experience with ACTUALLY clean rooms and the most peace I've experienced in India after two months. Staff amazing, friendly and knowledgeable and the most bargain prices. Only wish I'd stayed for longer.
That I left too soon
Co-ordial owner and staff. Well mannered. People.Helpful and humble. Suggesting for stay
As per the rating given to the place of stay unjustified. The rooms were spacious and clean.
There was lack of staff assistant. The menu for food was also illogical as per the rates shown. The other options for food was far off from the Homestay.
The rooms were spacious and clean.
Location was outside the main city. The approach road to the Homestay conditions were pathetic.
