Zeus Bungalow

We had a wonderful stay at Zeus Bungalow! Vasanthi, the host, was incredibly hospitable, and her cooking was absolutely delicious. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Although the location is in Kotagiri, a bit further from Ooty, the journey to the bungalow was a scenic delight, surrounded by nature and winding hairpin bends. Our family stayed for 4 nights, and Vasanthi made sure we had breakfast and dinner available every day. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A highlight of our stay was getting to interact with her dogs, all of which are huskies, including a lab mix. We especially enjoyed spending time with Akira, Irene, and Panther—they were all so friendly and lovable! Vasanthi is wonderfully talkative, and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her. She was really helpful in suggesting some places to visit in the area, and her knowledge of the local attractions made our trip even more enjoyable. Her communication skills were excellent, and she is also proficient in Tamil, which made it easier for us to connect and get around. I also found the cost to be reasonable for the experience.

The house is nice and cosy. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms. Vasanthi (the property owner) was too kind that she offered us a complimentary breakfast. She goes out of the way to make you feel so at home and taking personal attention to help you.Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. Above all, it's her hospitality that will make you want to come back to this place again. Thank you so much.

Loved the stay’s ambience and hospitality. The stay was in the middle of Kotagiri and away from hustle and bustle of Ooty crowd. The place felt like a piece of doggie heaven , Vasanthi’s husky boys were a charm to the home. We were served a homely South Indian breakfast and sandwiches,will definitely go back!

Me and my wife made a last minute plan to visit Kotagiri. Its a bungalow with a good space for car parking. It was a home away from home with a very cosy room. Clean to the core.Beds and linen are very fresh and well arranged. Hot water was available in the bathroom. Morning breakfast was made by the host herself and it was good. Dogs are there but separated from our area. Call before you go as it may be a little difficult to find the route. We have to go out for food except for breakfast and in case you want to order for dinner confirm before 5:00 p.m.

The hosts Vasanthi Auntie and Shah uncle were most fabulous,very very affable, totally loving. The way i was cared for during my stay was exemplary. Auntie is an amazing story teller n the most brilliant cook. The way Vasanthi Auntie looks after her pack of pet dogs says a lot about the tender loving human she is. The place is magnificently maintained both indoors and the large beautiful outdoor garden,lawn area too. All in all..i would highly recommend Zeus Bungalow as a place to stay cause it offers so do much for anyone looking for peace n the company of genuinely super warm hosts☺️

Breakfast was great. Our host introduced us to typical south indian breakfast. Although I am not fond of curry for breakfast, the flavour and appearance of the variety of dishes prepared won me over. I really enjoyed the idli, sambar, dosa, chana-mushroom curry, etc

Amazing homestay, clean, safe and perfect for families / solo travellers. Host Vasanthi Mam has taken every effort to make the stay memorable and pleasant. The house is perfectly maintained with all amenities, the interiors are in perfect sync with the nature. The breakfast provided by her is an wholesome meal in itself, I also had the privilege of enjoying traditional dishes made by her. Highly recommeded.
