Simple home stay but won’t stay again because of son’s attitude
Pros:

This is a home stay, mother and father are very friendly, only son’s attitude is bad.
The location is very good, Not far to Lion Rock entrance .

Cons:

I complaint of the shower had no function to the son , and he checked , but no further action .

Pros:

This is a nice homestay - the lady who runs the house keeps it clean & makes delicious breakfast (not included for us). She was also very kind to help us get set up in her kitchen (it’s a very big traditional Sri Lankan kitchen). A/C is $6 per day - we didn’t need to use it as it was breezy enough when we stayed with fans.

Please note we have given this a top rating based on this being a budget home stay option. Many reviews seem to judge as if it were a hotel - if you’re looking for this please change your budget options for Sigiriya. If you’re looking for a homestay with a nice family, comfortable with plenty of space this is a great option.

Pros:

Lovely lady running the homestay.she was very welcoming and offered lots of great advice on what to do locally. Comfortable bed, much softer than the usual Sri Lankan bed.
Her husband took me to Habarana in his tuktuk for a very reasonable price.
Oh and free cycle use for guests

On the main road
Pros:

The place is in the center of Sigiriya.
The breakfast was great, tasty and varied.

Excelente estancia
Pros:

La ubicación, la limpieza, las facilidades para obtener transporte , traslados.
La Dueña preocupada todo el tiempo de sus huéspedes, un rico desayuno y habla un perfecto inglés.
Es un muy buen Homestay para hacer base a las atracciones. Estaba a problemas a por cómo ir por el día a polonaruwa y seguir a tricomolee y ella se encargó de todo, por un buen precio su hijo me espero en la
Primera parada y luego al destino final.
Ademas paro cuando le solicité durante el trayecto.
Arrendé una moto en el alojamiento que estaba en perfectas condiciones . Absolutamente recomendado !

Una estupenda elección para alojarte en Sigiriya
Pros:

Se trata de una habitación cómoda y limpia, con entrada independiente. Además tiene un porche con hamaca y mesa con vistas a un bonito jardín. La familia es encantadora y Chama te prepara un buen desayuno a la hora que prefieras.
Es un lugar tranquilo pero está muy céntrico, al lado de restaurantes, bares y tiendas. Pudimos aparcar nuestro tuk tuk gratuitamente.

10/10 Stay in Sigiriya!
Pros:

Had an amazing time at this lovely place. The room was nice, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious—fresh and full of local flavors. The house lady was so kind and welcoming, made us feel right at home. Plus, the location is perfect with Sigiriya Rock just a few minutes away. Highly recommend!

Enjoyable
Pros:

Great location but most of all amazing hosts, Shysha and her son Dinu. Shysha made us a delicious breakfast every morning & it was lovely to spend time chatting together, finding out about family life in Sigiriya.
Dinu, extremely helpful and gave us a lift into Dam alla as he was going. It saved us waiting for the bus.
We stayed there four nights.

Perfect location for Sigiria visit
Pros:

It’s walking distance to Lions Rock and right along the main strip of restaurants so the location is great. It’s set back enough from the road to be quiet enough for me.
The host was kind and accommodating. My bed was very soft and I prefer firm but that’s just a preference.

Would not recommend as it’s not good for health to sleep with a mold

The room was small and super-dirty, with a mold all over the place - especially in the bathroom ceiling but also in the room itself

Pros:

Breakfast was delicious and very complete and the room very clean and well accommodated with a fan.

Since it is very well located in the city center, sometimes at night you could hear some music from the pubs around.

Lovely and true local experience
Pros:

We loved getting to know the couple owning the place - they were incredibly helpful and made the trip unforgettable. Probably the best experience in Sri Lanka so far. The house is incredibly central, you can walk to Lion’s Rock and many restaurants.

Cons:

Of course this is not a hotel, so you should not expect a spotless room. If you come here, you do it to have a truly local experience and you might have to adapt a bit.

Superb
Pros:

The hosts were amazing, really helpful and friendly. Took us down the road to get beer. Great breakfast. Really felt welcomed and comfortable in their home. Lots of birds in the lovely garden. Would stay again.
