Rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained.
The beds were very comfortable, and the linen was fresh and clean without any strong bleach smell, which made the stay more pleasant.
The hotel feels slightly pricey when compared to the facilities offered at this price point.
Breakfast quality was good, but the buffet had limited variety considering the overall room tariff.
Only one litre of complimentary spring water is provided. It would be better if this was clearly mentioned on booking platforms like Booking.com, as additional water is charged at ₹60 per bottle. Guests may prefer to purchase water from outside.
Staff are so kindly and calm place.
Little dark light in room
Good all.
Na
The place is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and the people are wonderful. We met the hostess and she was telling us about the history of the royal family and how they have been managing the place and such a delight to hear her stories.
The ambience, staff behaviour, responsive and clean environment.
None
Nice territory with trees and rabbits. Nice staff 24 hours reception. Hot water (but not easy to understand how is the heater working). Location is close to Ghats. Breakfast was tasty, but very poor and spicy.
Beddings are dirty, that’s disgusting... They don’t change it after every guest.
The dust is everywhere in room and on territory. It seems that they don’t clean territory at all.
Hotel is close to road, very noisy. So you need to use ear plugs for sleeping.
Vijaigarh is surprisingly a property of the Maharaja of Vijaigarh, so has all the royal elements and grandeur to it. The daughter-in-law of the family runs the property and greets you in person very warmly. There is a Great Dane and a Labrador that freely roam around inside the campus, very friendly.
The staff greet you and treat you as if you are yourself some royal family member :) Assi Ghat takes 5 min to walk down, so the location is super great!
The property is great, just that some of the bathroom fixtures {shower, etc.} need an upgrade. They also need some more staff I feel, to maintain such a large property {those who are dusting, cleaning on regular basis}.
The property is a beautiful heritage property .The owners are very accommodating and down to earth .We had a great time connecting with them . Hotel staff is very kind and helpful .
We had a very comfortable stay ..
The location is a bit confusing ..Outside approach road is too dirty but it’s not the hotel’s issue it’s the people and the city itself . Varanasi lacks sense of cleanliness..
Location was only thing best about the property. Room was big, beds and sleep quality ok, toilets nice and clean.
Staff attitude bad considering the amount they were charging, food not upto mark. Property very overpriced but maybe because options are limited
Dirty linens.
Poor service staff.
Stupid non cooperative staff.
The manager was okay but he needs three to four more hands to handle the property.
Had to change the room and still got dirty hair on the linens.
The bathroom drains had bad odour that in a longer duration spread across the room.
Location was good, and almost quiet for Varanasi (depending on room location).
We asked for quiet room, it was without windows, but almost quiet.
Friendly staff, very helpful even about taxi, excursions etc. And normal prices for this.
Beautiful rabbits walking in territory. 24 hrs front desk is really great.
Room and hotel was not clean enough. They change only towels, but not bedsheets and bedding. So maybe 10 people were sleeping at these bedsheets and blankets before you. It was dirty and wet. A lot of dust everywhere in room and hotel.
Very close to the ghatt. Big room and nice food.
Noisy room
The location, food, rooms and cleanliness were excellent
The manager Shubham sharma is really good and helped us in all possible ways
He went all out to make our trip a memorable one !
The staf esp Aashish and Chandreshekhar were polite and took care of extra requests of children. The duty manager was kind enough to change the room when he was told that AC wasn't working.
Rooms were spacious and for that I feel it was value for money.
The arrangement of boat ride by them was also very good.
Nothing much, except that bathing water could have been kept cooler. But I would like to not consider it very important.
It was a private heritage property and not loud at all as some other guest reviews complained. Anyhow the owners are working on improving the noise isolation
The limited choice at breakfast can be improved.
The ac was not working , the tv was not working , the room was smelly , a lot of power cuts at night , u cannot lock the room properly from
Inside , bathroom
Was very stinky the sheet and linen was full of dust awful
