It was close to town centre about 10minutes walk into city.
The room was not set up for two people staying myself and my son, there was no bedding on the single bed and the double bed was damp. The window didn't shit properly and the rain was leaking in the window all night.
I told the staff that let us in and he said the window needed shutting it was not the issue the window had no handle, the shower was literally on top of the sink with a curtain to the sink it was literally a tiny store cupboard. Shocking they were allowed to rent it out as £ 72 for 2 nights bloody disgusting and disgrace. Cups had stains in them so no coffee. The coffee and sugar were all matted together in the holder 🤢. The milk sachets were 2 years out of date and lumpy 🤢.
The window had no sealing on it at all one slight push and it would have been straight out it was freezing complained about it he turned heating on for half hour it was damp mouldy and freezing 🥶 would not let a rat live like that not alone an autistic person and his mother. If my partner had shown up with us he would have been made a show of. We stayed for what we paid for and went to another hotel and had a shower and cleaned our clothes felt sick.
Quiet hotel
quiet area
Polite guests
Polite staff
Polite management team
Man on phone was lovely understanding and easy to speak to
Man who runs the place he seems okay, pleasant
Was not okay with being promptly rushed out before check out time do not need reminding of time, I may have been a little late at check in we always leave on time at check out.
No quarms other than leaky tap in bathroom and wee on the floor. Other than this me and my son stayed a couple of times here twice in family room once dumped in single room I had to sleep on floor as he's my son 🤯😔 disappointed with this as he does know us well now.
Other than this we love this little place it's comfortable safe and it's a roof.
..the location.
The room, toilet, hallway, cleanliness..
This is not a hotel neither a guest house but a make shift cabin with very bad mattress, no essentials like soap in the toilet and toilet paper. The walk way is so narrow that I could hardly walk with my luggage.
The place was worth just £20
Leaving.
Everything! staff member was abusive to my partner, they tried to make us pay extra for our service dog, but we refused to pay their extra fee (illegal to charge for service dogs) so they downgraded us from the room we paid for (family, 1 double, 1 single bed) to a double room (1 doubl3 bed). The place is absolutely filthy, the bedding hadn't been changed, there was evidence of drug use on the table, the bed wasn't safe as it hadn't been bolted together correctly, the kitchen had slugs all over it during the night and wasn't sanitary at all.. If we'd have known how bad this place was, we wouldn't have let even our dog sleep there!
The shopping centre was close by to buy disinfectant and going home
The room had food in bed towel had food stains floor wasn't cleaned by looks from last 3 guests different coloured hair on floor which weren't mine dust and grime etc. I could go on all day on how filthy this establishment is. I'm really sorry to owners but you need to sack the cleaners
The room was dirty, everything was broken, the curtains, the TV, the bedside cupboard. The toilet seat was broken, and there was no shower area. The area is run down, dirty, and many drunken people. People were fighting outside the house.
£64 for one night!
Got a private bathroom even tho I didn’t book it
Staff was very rude, and not helpful at all, they said thst it is too late at night, and hung up on the phone when I called and informed that the tv wouldn’t wanna work.
Location
Private bathroom was a cubby hole with everything rammed into it
Nothing
The location was a short walk from the town centre where we were visiting for a show other than that nothing.
Everything. Drug addicts live here. There is noise all night. Bags of vodka bottles mixed with sick in the garden of the property. Someone knocked on our door at midnight asking for money. There is drug paraphernalia outside the property. We left early as we were exhausted and hadn’t slept after all the disturbance throughout the night and felt unsafe.
I did not stay because it was falsely advertised and nothing like the photo's on your site. I was horrified when I arrived and left immediately. A complaint has been raised and I think trading standards should be involved.
All of the property is in disrepair it's not what is advertised and looks like a hostel not a guest house.
It was near the town
Looks nothing like the pictures, absolutely stank, put T-shirts over pillows etc, to scared to use shower, people banging about all night, shocking, later found out it’s a half way house
★☆☆☆☆ Worst Experience Ever – Unsafe, Dirty, and Discriminatory Behavior
I recently stayed at Regent Guest House in Burnley, and it was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was completely unfurnished, dirty, and had exposed electrical wires, creating a very unsafe environment. Shockingly, the smoke detectors were missing, with only the mounting bases left on the ceiling. This is a serious safety hazard and unacceptable in any accommodation.
The toilets were filthy, and the kitchen was so disgustingly dirty that I couldn’t step inside the entire day. The hygiene standards here are absolutely appalling.
On top of this, I booked the room through Booking.com, but when I arrived, the hotel assistant charged me extra money for no valid reason. I overheard a phone call where the assistant spoke to his boss and said, “He is desi,” and the boss instructed him to overcharge me because of my ethnicity. This is blatant racism and discrimination, and no one should ever have to face such treatment, especially in a place of business.
This guest house should be inspected by the authorities for health, safety, and ethical business practices. I do not recommend this place to anyone, and I hope no one else experiences the terrible treatment and conditions I did.
The pictures are not what you get. Its horrible we didn't even stay ended up coming home we are from London so was a long way home.
