Away from tourist areas, meet the local Balinese, Very comfortable room and great pricing
Pros:

Owner was able to meet all my needs. Although I had to leave early due to unforeseen circumstances it did not diminish my expectations and value for money

Cons:

For the money I thought that the property fulfilled all its expectations

Dirty, noisy and basic but can still work with a bit of patience, you know what you pay for
Pros:

The price is very good value, the location, the fact that at the reception they promptly tried to do what they could in order to accommodate my basic requests like putting another 20L of drinkable water tank in the water dispenser, or giving me a bigger pot for cooking or changing the exhausted gas canister for cooking with a full one (even though they should not wait for the customers to ask for all of these basic things)
→ 2 nice young and friendly neighbours English speakers
→ there's a fridge, kettle, plates, cups and, in the back room, a secondary bigger sink and drying rack
→ outside in the shared kitchen area there's a cooktop I wasn't expecting. You can cook basic stuff with an aluminum pan (not Teflon coated)
→ I could easily go to wash my clothes at "Kanss Laundry Glogor Carik", 2min away

Cons:

My understanding is that there's a lot of residue in the water (it's normal if it feels soapy even without soap) so I understand it's difficult to remove the limescale, but there they're not even trying to remove it: the toilet's floor is originally black but it has everywhere a layer of white limescale from the water
→ The toilet bowl and sink It's very dirty and I needed to disinfect them by myself to not feel that disgusted. Still happy to do it for the price I paid in the end, but it could have been done a better job with very inexpensive products. I'd have been happy to spend a bit more but having the place decently clean. This is not decently cleaned.
→ the kitchen has no strainer (I had to buy a pink plastic bowl with a strainer next to the lid and left it to them, maybe you'll see that around)
→ On the first night I spent there, there were 2 cats continuously doing their noises 2 meters from me around midnight, just outside in front of the window, second floor. I tried to scare them away but they kept coming back. I was not expecting to deal with cat's noises. That was very annoying. The next day I removed the 2 chairs & table from outside and sprayed a lemon-scented thing: they didn't come back.
→ The usual people at the reception don't speak a word of English. I used a translator.
→ Cock crow (chicken noise) EVERY 5 SECONDS from 5AM to 10PM ish coming from the chicken coop on the back of the apartments
→ Under and in front of the balcony people living in the houses over the fence turn on their motorbikes and keep them running for a few minutes before leaving, creating unnecessary noise early in the morning and late at night till around midnight of every day of the week
