We loved staying at Artawas. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights only and ended up staying 8. He is very nice and always ready to help. His family is lovely too. If you are loooking to experience a true balinese family, learn about their culture, lifestyle and traditions this is definitively the place.
The ride to and from the airport was very helpful, and people there seemed friendly and nice. They were very helpful, always up early cleaning, checking to see if I needed anything, and it was great to learn about their culture and way of living.
The only thing I didn’t like was that sound carries very easily between walls. It was tolerable to me because I am used to living with lots of people, but you can hear the conversations of your neighbors while you’re sitting in your room.
It’s a nice place to stay if you want to know more about balinaise culture ! You are in a middle of the family.
No drinking water, WiFi was bad you can not make a call in a room :/
Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana, è stato tutto bellissimo, i proprietari sono molto presenti e accoglienti! Camera molto bella e pulita, presente anche zona cucina e frigorifero!

Good
Pros: The place is very good value for money, the bathroom was clean, and the shower was great. The location is very good, close enough to the centre of Ubud, but away from the noise and crowds.
Cons: The pillows were mouldy inside, but were changed after I brought this to the owner's attention.
The WiFi is not as quick as advertised, most of the time it was 1-3mbps, very slow. Not suitable for working remotely, or making video calls (I ended up working from the nearby coffeshop).

Location, and the fact it was a home stay. Property was very well presented, staff very attentive and friendly. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ubud, but close enough to enjoy the vibrant life of Ubud.
The next door neighbours dog, who barked during night.
One of the best guest houses I have stayed at over 5 months travelling.
The room is clean and towels and bed sheets are changed often, there is a basic kitchen where you can cook something for breakfast.
Mr. Komang is a very special person, polity and very active, always asking you if everything is good.
It is a quiet place, a bit far to the city center by walking, around 30 min, but 10 minutes by motorcycle.
There is a Indomaret 5 minutes walking, laundry, less than 5 minutes, few warung around.
You can also rent a motorbike in the property. I highly recommend it, otherwise you can use grab moto or gojek moto to go around.

It's completely a private room. So clean and the bed was so fluffy:)) Also there is a bicycle for rental.
Artawa House is lovely and the family is kind and generous in their hosting. The room was clean, had AC and a comfy bed. You can't ask for more.
The only drawback I had was the traffic towards the activities I had chosen. I would have appreciated a bit more space inside the room to do yoga. Artawa kindly offered the use of another space to do yoga.
The place is sooooo cute! And the owners are really nice! I really enjoyed my stay and the time I had there. The a/c works really well and the internet too. The room is kinda small but has lots of shelves and a fridge so it’s really nice! The location is perfect, a little bit tucked away so you can’t hear the traffic!
The walls are thin and it’s a family home so from room to room you can hear and for example you will hear the kids playing outside in the morning. No major big noise but if you are a very sensitive sleeper better to have some earplugs.
Host ready to help in any way. Location is optimal for exploring the island and local customs, people and culture if that is what one desires to do
Amazing value, had all the necessities. Amazing location, next to the house and temple of the owner and his family. It is a gorgeous neighbourhood with beautiful paddy fields and Balinese culture everywhere. Away from the traffic and crappy live music of central Ubud. Listen to gamelan instead :)
