Modern bathroom, mosquito net and air con. Close to weligama beach and Nomad Cafe. Staff very helpful and welcoming.
Road a little noisy and on a bus route . Outside paving / seating area was being created when I stayed there (this will be nice when finished)
Clean room
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was good - with a nice bathroom and aircon. Easy walking distance to the cafes for breakfast and the beach!
The location is on a busy road, so bring some earplugs! The hotel was having some paving work done when we were there, and this will create a nice seating area when finished

I stayed there only for two weeks but I really liked it. The accommodation is in a good location in Weligama. Beach not far away and restaurants around the corner. To the hosts: I received a very warm welcome and was able to contact them at any time, even with concerns unrelated to the accommodation. I felt very comfortable!
The hosts were very hospitable. They always offered us tea, and whenever we had some questions, they were always so helpful. Also, the location was great, not very far from the beach and restaurants. Highly recommend!
I loved this guesthouse, the family were so welcoming, so kind and lovely. The room itself is so big, well equipped! The location is perfect, right beside the beach and the town. The house itself is beautiful and has a big garden. I would really recommend this guesthouse

Sweet place run by a lovely family who welcomed us with delicious ginger tea and were generally just very kind. Good location next to some great cafes and surf spots.
Our room smelled strongly of damp and didn’t feel super private.
It was amazing to stay here, the host family are so nice and kind!

Would highly recommend Mango Shade. The family looked after me and welcomed me as if I was part of the family. Amazing home cooked Sri Lankan meals. Very close to the beach. I extended my stay multiple times and will definitely return someday!
The position right next to the beach so we could walk from the surf school in a couple of minutes, the room was big and clean and there was a huge balcony shared with the other 1st floor room.
The staff was really nice: they prepared a welcome tea as we arrived and purchased a kettle so we could make coffee in the morning. They also provided an addictional string in the balcony so we could try to dry our clothes.
The bed was big and comfortable.
I definitely recommend Mango Shade and would love to be back one day.
