The ambience, cleanliness and hospitality was beyond any of my previous stays. The hosts show the utmost graciousness and make sure their guests have all their needs met.
Absolutely loved everything. Felt like a luxury stay with the comfort of one’s own home!
The bed was comfortable and very much that's it
Many things
1. No spare sockets for charging. All occupied by lamps/appliances
2. TV not working
3. AC remote not provided. When asked, we were given a stick to reach out to the AC
4. Almost finished toilet paper
5. One dental kit for 2 people, that too open with tooth brush missing
6. Exhaust fan in toilet not working
7. Mirror light in toilet not working
8. Very low water pressure in toilet.
9. Cracked wash basin
10. No foot mat in toilet
11. Toilet gets wet after a bath. A wiper would be useful
12. Below average food... browned Omelette, stale bread, wet butter, unappetizing looking food throughout
13. Barely readable signboard
14. Road leading to the property littered with rubbish

Went to Brigadier’s Cottage completely unplanned—and what a beautiful surprise it turned out to be.
Neetu, the host, took care of everything right from guiding me on how to reach the place to suggesting what to explore and when. The staff is incredibly warm and humble—special thanks to Ajit and Balveer… and yes, “Ravindra Jadeja” 😊—such lovely people who made the stay even more memorable.
If you’re looking to experience true country life, this is it. Tucked away near Kempty, it’s peaceful, quiet, and deeply rejuvenating. Staying amidst nature, watching time slow down, you genuinely feel yourself unwind and recharge. You wake up to mountains what else you need.
What I loved most—they simply ask what you’d like to eat and make it happen. It felt like a real holiday in every sense.

This is run by Aseem and Neetu. I missed staying there this time, but I would definitely recommend it. In a place like Rishikesh, which can feel quite commercial, it’s rare to find spaces run with such passion and hands-on care.
I’ve heard of people staying there for months—writers, doctors, students—people who come for peace and end up staying longer than planned. Neetu and Aseem passion and care for people is the reason.
Both places truly reflect warmth, intention, and soul. Definitely somewhere I’d go back to again. 🤍
Just next to campty fall and proper silence and the best part is host who makes you and your family comfortable.

Tucked away in a nice corner and done up with care and passion, one finds solitude, peace, warmth all put together in one basket.
The place grows on you and you dont feel like leaving , wishing if you could have this place as home

Beautiful location , cozy rooms and outstanding hospitality. It was in all an outstanding experience . A perfect peaceful retreat in Mussoorie.
I loved everything about this property!
From the decor to the hosts, as well as their pets! The geese were so funny and cute, while the cows and dogs were rather sweet but what fascinated me the most were the bees and how organic this place is. A truly great place if you want to get out from the city .
