Wonderful hosts, beautiful view and comfortable room!
Pros:

This place is a gem! It is a real homestay, in that the rooms are connected to a home where the whole family is committed to taking good care of their guests. Surender was attentive to our every message, Ritu did our laundry (so quick and clean!) and kept the space immaculate, and their two grown kids were so gracious and friendly! Such lovely people! We really enjoyed the spacious, comfortable room which is well furnished with storage space, WiFi, water heater, electric kettle and a balcony with a wonderful view - the highlight of our mornings in Bhagsu! The kitchen was simple but useful! The house is in the middle of the village, within walking distance of tons of great cafés and about a 20 minute walk to Dharamkot and the Bhagsu waterfall.

Cons:

All over Dharamshala it would be nice if here and everywhere they separated the trash - at least separate the organic compostable trash from everything else! Maybe a few more utensils (like more bowls and plates!) in the kitchen!

Pros:

The location was very good. And the view was above average. The room was large, clean , modern with a great balcony.

Cons:

I wish they had provided meals as I am older I would have gladly paid for food so as not to climb the hills and steps all the time. Having available food would have given the Home Stay an exceptional rating.
I also had to ask for bathroom tissue a few times and it should have been in my room. The bin in the room was notcleaned out until the very last day.

Thete were other people staying and they burned incense which was pretty strong.

Extremely disappointing experience. Will not recommend

Clean room, big space

Cons:

I specifically asked for reliable internet and they confirmed its good speed with reliable WiFi. My flight was cancelled, which delayed my arrival 1 day. I informed them , accordingly changed dates here yet i was given another room because someone else came n his flight got cancelled , they keep insisting they will change tomorrow. The room i was given was clean but colder. I had to buy thermals. The net was ok at start, but kept getting slower, buffering. When i informed them, they asked me to connect another WiFi which after many efforts got connected and worked that day. The next day, owner said he will shift me to my original sunny room which has reliable connection since router is there, but after some hours his wife insisted that person’s flight got cancelled and he will stay another day. My internet was extremely poor, they keep insisting that it is working on their phone, even though i showed them its not working on my laptop & iPhone. The conversation i had with different people regardless running around circles where they kept insisting its working for them, connecting on their phone , whereas i kept showing them how its not connecting on my laptop/iphone , giving errors even if its connected- there is no internet.. i got tired of these repeated conversations and then they started excuses saying its fiber optical issue, it got cut n people might be working on it. I honestly dont know whether it was truth or just excuses. I didn’t received any solution and had to move out immediately because they’re refused to provide me any proper solution and just kept promising that they will change my room tomorrow. I had to leave my work, my submission and had to find new hotel Extremely disappointing experience
