Enorm fijn plekje om vier nachten door te brengen en CDMX te ontdekken.
The 222 ligt in de fijne wijk Roma Sur.
‘s Nachts was het heerlijk rustig, maar op loopafstand zitten heel veel leuke eetgelegenheden, koffietentjes, supermarkten en ook de wijken Condesa en Roma Norte.
Binnen een paar minuten ben je bij het metrostation om de rest van de stad te ontdekken.

Als je overdag je rolgordijn dicht houdt, blijft je kamer een stuk koeler. De kamer is overigens van alle gemakken voorzien, heeft een heerlijk bed en het dakterras is de perfecte plek voor een drankje aan het eind van de dag of een koffie in de ochtendzon.

Pros:

Nice place with very kind English-speaking hosts! They were flexible with check-in and check-out, which was a huge help during my trip. The place felt homey and the bed was super comfy. It was great to have filtered water and coffee available in the room. I was able to pay by card without any issues which was a nice surprise too

Cons:

Nonstandard room layout with the shower next to the bed, but it was fine for a short stay

The terrace was nice, but I had the most disappointing experience here, as many other reviewers have noted.

Cons:

During the middle of the check in window, i was stuck waiting outside in the middle of a downpour with all my belongings for 15 minutes as i was ignored by the host.

It was the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in. The floors obviously hadn’t been swept, as there were fingernail clippings and piles of someone else’s hair on the floor. The toilet was dirty on the inside and outside. The shower was full of mold and had wads of hair in it. There was literal grime on the wall. It seemed clear that this wasn’t a matter of accidentally not cleaning after one set of guests, rather that this place hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

I heard a horrible deafening grinding noise and thought something was seriously wrong so I went to the patio to check. It turned out to be the water tanks. So imagine, when anyone in the main house or 6 guest rooms flushes a toilet or turns on the sink or shower, it sounds like a garbage disposal right above your head. It was so loud that earplugs didn’t help.
