The location was perfect, the ocean views amazing!
The room was exquisite, with a private deck, ocean view, two rocking chairs and a table for my glass of wine.

We loved our stay at the Capricorn house and will definitely be going back!
Pros:

We liked everything about our stay. From the minute we walked in until the day we left, the vibe was perfect. The accommodation’s and location were excellent and the owner was an amazing human!

Cons:

There was not one thing we didn’t like!

Location, Kindness and Homeliness. Youll feel at home here
Pros:

The location, the staff, the convenience all make the Capricorn a must stay when visiting Oak Bluffs. You are seconds from the free bus route which will take you to many great locations. Walking distance to shops. It’s got history and located on a scenic neighborhood. You have access to the patio, outdoor shower, kitchen, complimentary coffee, tea and a fridge. The beds are comfortable and really nice air conditioning units in each room. A must in the summer. Check in and check out was a breeze.

Really appreciate the Capricorn house for being a great spot for guests to feel at home.

Cons:

There could be some cosmetic improvements to the rooms that could really make it a 10. The shower was more of just a simple shower head. The lock on the door was finicky, at times. But for the price point and all the other positives we didn’t mind

Great location
Pros:

Location was great, facilities were good. Access to clean towel renewal was good. Access to towels for beach was good. Rocking chairs are great. Sunroom is nice place to sit and watch passersby.

Cons:

Didn’t like the tiny bed, the ticks and multiple ants everyday was ridiculous. Also I sent the goats info about the ticks and they never addressed my concerns so I didn’t even bother with the ant situation.

OK for a short stay
Pros:

Good view of the sea with beach in front. Short walk into Oak Bluffs. The air conditioning was good.

Cons:

The standard of accommodation in Oak Bluffs is not like other vicinities as there are understandably no major hotels. Instead the island has typically heritage houses with rooms. The room we had was extremely small with not enough space for suitcases. The front door to the balcony did not have a blackout blind, so the room was light very early. The road noise was considerable. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room as not big enough, but these were available downstairs. A plug in the sink would be appreciated. This property is clearly elderly and it reminded me of my gran's house.
