When you add the staff, owner and location you could not do better to stay in Martha's Vinyard.
Pros:

The Capricorn House was beautiful. But what I liked the most was it was close to the beach and the restaurants. Both were within walking distance. The bus stop was right in front of the house. And most of all the owner Mr. Henry was the perfect host.

Cons:

There were some ants.

I would definitely start here again.
Pros:

Henry was nice and met us when we arrived. What I liked most is that the room was CLEAN! Upon opening the door, the clean smell was the first thing that welcomed me and then the room was white and bright. The location was amazing being literally directly across from the beach and the bus stop. Would definitely stay here again.

On our return home I saw the info on the website said the rooms were small and to pack light. My bad
Pros:

The house was very quiet which was nice, however, no staff member or anyone in charge ever introduced themselves or asked if we needed anything etc. Our room was tiny but we made it work, the bed and linens were extremely comfortable and smelled fresh and clean. The bathroom was very tiny but the shower stall itself was new and had amazing water pressure which was really nice. Also there was no breakfast but we were able to have coffee/tea each morning as well as use of a toaster oven, microwave and refrigerator. The location and views were superb.

Cons:

Our last day we wanted to sit outside and enjoy our coffee on the deck but the desk clerk and a friend perhaps, or another worker, were sitting in the two prime rocking chairs available, and made no move to relocate when we came outside. There were other places to sit but I thought that was a tad rude considering we were paying guests. We sat down the side of the house instead, still had a rocking chair except we were now facing the house next door.

Pros:

Walkable from Oak Bluffs harbor. Situated right next to Inkwell beach with plentiful towels provided by Capricorn. Easy check-in and check out by communicating with staff in person or by phone. We spent a lot of time sitting on the porch swing, having our coffee or tea, and walking along the beach. Great place to explore Oak Bluffs and beyond

Nice Victorian style place across from the water and conveniently located to the ferry. The owner was a gracious host

as mentioned by others. My room small. Worked ok for me isince i was solo travel. The bed was soft if you like that sort of thing- not great for me back and it would have been nice if the window opened to get a little ocean breeze.
