Suresh is very attentive host and always ready to help with anything. It felt like nothing was too much and I really enjoyed the yummy traditional breakfast brought to my terrace each morning. I am sad to leave this beautiful place, thank you for a lovely stay!

Everything. Suresh and his family made us feel like home. Great value for money, new, clean, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast and dinner (home cooked). Located on the riverside. Arranged sunrise canoe 🛶 tour.
Generally lovely family. Very comfortable large bed. Nice and spacious. Little table outside the door. Home cooked food. Near the temple 🛕 and across the road is the riverside for boat tours. Don't forget to say hello to hari, the pub he's super timid and needs love ❤️
There isn't a lot of privacy, and the road can be heard.
Lovely accomodation in a great location. The owner and his family welcome us and provided us with everything we needed.
Not the owners fault but there was a festival going on so loud music being played through speakers.
We had a lovely time at Suresh’s place. He went to every effort to make we sure we had a good time, and arranged competing and biking for us around the island. The food was also delicious and some of the best we’ve had in India!
A lovely family with whom to stay in a relatively new concrete bungalow across the street from the river, where the backwater canoe trip picks you up. Good sized room and bath with excellent hot water. A nice porch on which to eat excellent home-cooked meals for breakfast and dinner (dinner costs extra).
Not a lot of English spoken (wasn't a problem for us but might be for some guests). As is typical of many Indian home stays: can someone please create light switches that correspond to some logic in the room 😉

This stay was such a homely experience. When we arrived there were no tuktuks so we messaged Suresh and he drove down on his bike so we were not on our own and arranged a tuktuk for us. Suresh and his wife catered for us specifically to a vegan diet which we found to be very difficult elsewhere on the island, so we never went hungry! Room was perfect and hot water in the shower was a bonus. Also arranged a great canoe tour for us on the backwaters less than a minute walk from the property!

This is a great place to stay, it's relaxing, the hosts are awesome and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Very good value for money. Provided breakfast and dinner, lunch as well if you wanted. There was a bike you could hire for a little trek round the island, and it's a good way to get around the place. I've stayed in a lot of places in India over the last 3 months, and this was one of the best.
Nothing really, but for me it was hot, so a small fridge would have been useful to cool some drinks down. Just an idea.
I enjoyed my stay there and was sad to leave Munroe Island.
We had a great stay at Munroe Heritage Inn Homestay. Simple but comfortable and clean rooms. Suresh and his family are so hospitable, kind and great fun!
The food was lovely and the island itself is great. We wish we stayed longer.
Fanstastic food, Very friendly service, we felt part of the family. Suresh went above and beyond to make sure we could enjoy our stay on the island. He took us by motorbike, organised a sunrise canoe ride, kayaks and bikes for us as well as a visit to a thread making factory and rickshaws to the train station. When my son left his wallet in the room he organised a courier to have it sent on to our next destination.
Some information on the booking.com website was incorrect (eg there is no kitchenette or pool) but we have informed Suresh and he will check and update his accommodation information.
