Nino instantly made me feel like I was home! As soon as I arrived he offered me a meal and we sat down in his living room and had a great chat. The day after, Nino showed me around town and helped me get a train ticket at the train station and a scooter. We had breakfast and lunch together! Before leaving he even brought me to the train station and dropped me off!

Was difficult to find. Located down a narrow street that our 10-seater van could not access so had to walk from the end of the street.
No blankets provided, though air con kept us warm overnight.
Prayer time will wake you up at 4am(ish)

The rooms are very good and you can use the kitchen. The owner is really nice and always help you. We love his hospitallity, you will feel like home with the local people.

The owner was super lovely and helpful, making us feel very at home by offering us food, motorbike and showing us around.
Unfortunately the room was damp and had a smell and bed sheets felt unwashed, but it was okay for the price you pay.
You feel like at home. Nino helps you with everything you need and really makes you feel like his house is yours. Just ask him for fruit and enjoy the experience!
The bed is confortable and the view from the rooftop is very nice.

The friendliness of the family running this place is the stand out feature. On arrival Nino offered us dinner (for free), all harvested from the family farm and cooked by his mother. He also spent plenty of time with us, explaining about life there, and helped us arrange all our travel.
The owner and staff are beautiful people, and are very helpful. They took me to there house to get some fresh fruits for me to take on the way.

I am rating more the stay as a whole than the room. The homeowner is incredible friendly, he drove me around to show me places around Banyuwangi and gave me much food! He was just like a friend to me.
Due to the Homeowner I had a nice stay, but the bathroom could need more cleanliness and some improvement. A new toilet seat, and a bathroom sink (which was missing) would be also quite nice. Luckily, the door to the room next to mine was not locked, so I used that one too. Keep in mind, water is cold. Mosque is on the other side of the road, so be aware of noise.
Really lovely host who helped us sort a bike and lent us gas masks for the Mount Ijen sunrise hike. The rooms are basic but comfortable enough.
The mosque is quite loud but we did stay on a Friday so to be expected.
