Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Amanda spricht sehr gut Englisch. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank zur Nutzung im Gemeinschaftsbereich. Ihr könnt über die Unterkunft auch Tagesausflüge nach Semporna, Kinabatangan, etc buchen. Am besten mal nachfragen. Außerdem werden Transfers angeboten. Wir haben den Transfer für 300 RM zum Jetty für unseren nächsten Stop am Kinabatangan River genutzt. Transfer war sehr komfortabel!

This was our second stay at the property during our journey. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. The property itself was tidy and featured a swimming pool, which was a nice addition. Breakfast is simple but adequate, offering coffee, fresh fruit, bread, and a selection of jams.
The accommodation is family-run, and payment can be made either in cash or via Wise transfer if arranged in advance with the appropriate family member.
They also offer reasonably priced transportation to and from Lahad Datu upon request, which is very convenient.

Despite having agreed on a Wise payment before our arrival, the family member handling our check-in was unable to manage the payment process properly. As a result, we ultimately had to pay in cash. While he was trying to sort out the situation, another staff member repeatedly urged him to collect the payment in cash instead of helping resolve the agreed transfer. The discussion became uncomfortable enough that he eventually had to ask her to stop. Although this did not significantly affect our overall stay, we found the situation unnecessary and not particularly professional, and better coordination among the staff would have made the check-in process much smoother.
The owner family is very friendly, happy to support with all kind of issues. In addition, there was an amazing breakfast served - which is just on top of all the other plus points...

Great continental breakfast! Beverages available for purchase. The pool is very enjoyable and we had a nice relaxing break after trekking in the rainforest.
Myoldhouse is set in lovely gardens which are full of birds. There is a shallow but very refreshing little pool in the garden. The hosts are super friendly and very helpful.
Everything was fantastic..great room facing pool...balcony in the shade...the pool was lovely. Great bathroom with hot shower. Toast...eggs ...fruit for breakfast. Coffee all day...beer and soft drinks available to purchase.
Nothing really...lot's of chairs in the shade by the pool...maybe the addition of sun loungers would be good?
Maybe slightly larger bottle of shampoo?
Minor details really!
Everyone was very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable.
