Petits déjeuners très généreux et souvent typique sri lankais ce qui est super

Un peu éloigné du centre d’Ella mais se fait bien à pied ou en tuk tuk et le propriétaire se montre très disponible pour faire le transport en tuk tuk

Belle vue mais je ne recommande pas cet etablissement.
Pros:

La vue depuis le balcon était très belle. Le petit déjeuner était également très bien et la femme du proprio fait de très bon coconuts rôtis.
Pour notre départ le propriétaire nous a gentiment accompagné jusqu’à la gare.

Cons:

La montée jusqu’à l’hôtel est très technique en voiture. À pied c’est bien raide dans les deux sens il faut compter bien une vingtaine de minutes à pied sinon faudra ajouter le prix du Tuk Tuk à chaque fois sachant que pour notre part il fallait en prendre deux car nous étions 4 avec nos enfants.
Concernant la propreté des lieux un gros effort est à faire. Frigo pas très propre avec une mauvais odeur, la salle de bain humide, les draps poisseux et la table d’extérieur pas très propre nettoyer à la main chaque matin avant le petit dej… et enfin derrière la tête de lit et les coins de la chambre des saletés…nous y avons passé 4 nuits et à aucun moment on nous a proposé de mettre un coup de propre…
Enfin les chiens et la musique le matin viennent gâcher le plaisir du calme qu’on aimerait face à la vue. J’ai vraiment était déçue car les notes booking ne reflètent vraiment pas la réalité !

Friendly family that goes to great lengths to welcome
Pros:

It’s everything people say in the reviews. Spectacular views. Incredible hospitality. Food was so tasty and reasonably priced. And a location that a van can’t get to. But the hosts met us where the road narrowed too much for the van to pass, and took us up by tuktuk. We walked to Ella Rock from the hotel. The paths are not easily marked but that was part of the adventure for us.

Cons:

The location is hard to get to but that is clear in the existing reviews. Just don’t expect a van to get there , plan with the owners to be dropped off at a spot where they can meet you.

Everything was wonderful. So peaceful, clean and comfortable. The view is the best!
Pros:

The view of the waterfall, wonderful food, helpful staff, HOT shower, clean and comfortable and good value. We ordered dinner and they made it mild for our kids too. The balcony is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the waterfall, the birdsong, and the mist.

Magical view and great place, right next to the track to Ella

The best view I have ever seen in Ella!!
The breakfast was also lovely :)

The owner has such a sweet family and you could tell he is a great person, even made us breakfast to take with us at 7am!

We recommend Marvelous Inn to everyone, it’s the best hotel we’ve been to in Sri Lanka
Pros:

It was our best stay in Sri Lanka. The view from the balcony is truly amazing. The host was very nice and attentive. We recommend this inn to everyone.

Cons:

We liked everything. Even though the road to the inn is quite bumpy, it became a part of the experience, because every time we were taking Tuk-tuk and it was fun :)

Pros:

Rauhallinen sijainti, kauniit maisemat pelloille ja vesiputoukselle. Skootterin vuokraus onnistui helposti. Huone ihan siisti, hyvä hinta-laatusuhde.

Cons:

Äänieristys huoneiden välillä ei ollut kummoinen, mutta onneksi yöt olivat rauhallisia. Jonkin verran kävelymatkaa keskustasta, mutta ihan ok oli kävellä illallakin.

Peaceful family hospitality
Pros:

The peaceful location, excellent breakfast (it varied over our three night stay), friendly and helpful hosts. The rooms were beautiful, recently built and were of a very high standard. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner (enough for an army) and excellent laundry service available. The host family were warm and spoke excellent English (which definitely helped us to communicate freely). This really offered outstanding value for money!

Cons:

To get to this peaceful location, our can could not drive on the steep road but our lovely host kindly took us back and forth in his tuktuk which was great for my parents in their 70s as well as my son.

The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, very clean, good showers, great breakfast and a very helpful couple running the home stay who promptly organised tuk tuks as needed

Location was a bit far to walk to town, although only 3 minutes by tuk tuk

Pros:

Die Lage ist der absolute Traum! Allerdings auch eine kleine Herausforderung falls ihr mit Driver/PKW unterwegs seid. Wir haben die Strecke von Ella hoch zum Marvellous Inn nur ein einziges Mal mit dem PW gemacht...dannach sind wir runter zu Fuss - ca 30 Minuten - rauf mit Tuktuk.
Das Zimmer hat alles was es braucht😊
Es hibt sogar einen Laundry- Service.

Cons:

Das Frühstück hat Lufg nach oben - aber es ist ok.

Pros:

Tolle Unterkunft für entspannte Tage in Ella.
Die Gastgeberfamilie ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Zu Fuß über die Bahngleise in die Stadt braucht man ca. 20 Minuten.
Der Gastgeber bietet aber auch ein Tuk Tuk ein mit dem man ganz einfach und schnell in die Stadt gefahren wird.
Der Ausblick ist toll, der Balkon groß und das Zimmer gemütlich.

Cons:

Das Bad war nicht so sauber und der Wasserdruck nicht so gut.
Das war aber trotzdem ok!
