部屋にパソコン用の机がなかったので、若い中国人？の男性スタッフに聞くとすぐ用意してくれたので、部屋にいる時間が快適になった。

周囲は住宅街なのでとても静かで平和
病院が近いからか、旅行者が宿泊する場所というより、患者さん？の方が多い雰囲気で私には合わなかった。
またフロントの男性がいつもかなり感じが悪く、とても不快だった。
Mohammad and Sakina are excellent hosts, warm, friendly and helpful, it’s a great property with nice staff and friendly guests, there a kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry facilities and only 6 minutes to the heart of Georgetown on a moped.

Lovely communal kitchen to use & close to Island hospital
I stayed at Joyful Gusesthouse for 3 nights during a recent medical visit to Island Hospital and found it to be a good option for my needs. Here’s an overview of my experience:
Location: The property is very close to Island Hospital, making it very convenient if this is the purpose of your stay. The short walking distance was a practical advantage (less than 5 minutes).
Cleanliness: The environment was clean and well-maintained, both in the rooms and shared spaces. This made for a comfortable stay. But of course, it's a guesthouse, not a hotel, so don't expect hotel facilities.
Shared Kitchen: The shared kitchen is well-equipped, allowing guests to prepare their own meals if they prefer not to eat out.
Facilities: The property has practical amenities, including an elevator and wheelchair-friendly access, which are helpful for those visiting the hospital.
Room: I stayed in the twin room (Room #3). While the space was small, it served its purpose well and had the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay.
Price: The cost of the stay was reasonable, especially considering the location and the facilities provided. It offers good value for the price.
Host: The host was friendly and efficient, always ready to help with questions or any issues that arose during my stay. I really appreciated her responsiveness at replying my messages.
Overall, this property is a practical choice for anyone visiting Island Hospital Penang or the surrounding area. It’s clean, conveniently located, and provides good value for the facilities offered. I would consider staying here again I ever need a place to stay while visiting Island Hospital Penang.

Excellent value for the money, very clean, nice staff, stable WiFi, lovely terrace, common area to sit by a table, AC with preferred temperature, great choice for 1-2 solo traveller sharing 1 room with twin beds.
Facilities are limited (e.g. no table in the room, no private bathrooms), but everything is described perfectly fine in the descriptions.
The location is near island hospital. Only need to walk about 5 minutes. Clean bedroom and bathroom.
It is quite far to find minimarket and food stall / restaurant. The owner is great. The homestay staff is just okay.
