Pros:

I had one of my best stays in Sri Lanka at Secret House Guest House in Dickwella. After traveling for over 3 weeks, this was honestly a standout experience.

The family running the guest house is incredible—so warm, kind, and genuinely caring. They go out of their way to make you feel at home, and it really shows in every detail.

The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, with well-designed rooms and AC and hot water that actually works properly. Everything was clean, comfortable, and just easy—one of the few places where everything works exactly as it should.

They even helped me with my laundry and managed to remove stains from my shirt, which I really appreciated.

And a special mention to Ayu the dog, who is absolutely adorable and adds to the whole charm of the place.

Overall, this was easily one of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka, and I would recommend it to anyone going to the south coast. I’ll definitely be back

Sehr entspannt, sauber und freundlich.
Pros:

Die Location ist perfekt gelegen. Man hat abends seine Ruhe und ist tagsüber sehr schnell an den schönsten Stränden und besten Hotels der Gegend. Der Host Amila ist extrem hilfsbereit. Wir hatten 2 Nächte gebucht und sind am Ende 6 Nächte geblieben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Čisté a moderní ubytování
Pros:

Ubytování a hostitel naprosto skvělý. Během týdne proběhla i výměna ložního prádla a úklid pokoje. Hostitel nabízí vyprání prádla (to seženete i levněji, ale je pohodlné nikam s prádlem nechodit a večer máte vypráno), půjčování skutru, super snídaně.

Cons:

Jen je škoda, že na pláž musíte přes rušnou část města, do ubytování ale hluk z ulice slyšet nejde.

Rent, bekvämt och fräsht! Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam ägare!
Vi fick lämna kvar våra grejer efter utcheck och fick låna ett ledigt rum och duscha av oss när vi kom tillbaka och skulle vidare (:

Cons:

Läget var inte super dessvärre. En bit till stranden där man kunde bada och man fick gå längst med en stor trafikerad väg. Men det är det enda negativa!

Amazing guest house !
Pros:

Everything was so great there ! We kept extending again and again and would have stayed there longer if we could. 😁
The breakfast is really good, and Amila and his family are so attentive and helpful.
The location is good and very quiet. You can rent a scooter directly to the owner, everything is made for you to feel home.
Thanks again for those great time spend there.

Gdybym miała więcej czasu w tym miejscu to na pewo bym została w miejscówce Amila.
Pros:

Największą zaletą obiektu jest właściciel - Amila. Bardzo zaradny i pomocny. Sam wszystko ogarnia - od organizacji transportu do swojego obiektu, poprzez gotowanie, pranie, sprzatanie i opiekę nad gośćmi. Miejsce jest nowe, czyste, bardzo fajnie zaprojektowane. Są wszystkie niezbędne przy pobycie udogodnienia oraz ciepła woda i pyszne śniadania z dolewką kawy na życzenie ;). Jeżeli czegokolwiek potrzebujesz to Amila to załatwi - jak jesteś chory to dostaniesz leki, jak chcesz konkretne owoce to je kupi, jak chcesz na impreze - to cię na nią zabierze.

Eine tolle Unterkunft zu einem fairen Preis.
Pros:

Der Gastgeber ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten bei ihm auch Roller leihen. Er stand uns mit Antworten zur Seite auf Fragen, die wir hatten. Die Sauberkeit war super und ein schönes Bad. Die Lage ist mitten in der Stadt, aber dennoch in einem ruhigen Hinterhof und schön grün. Man ist schnell an allen wichtigen Orten und es ist gut angebunden.

Cons:

- ein Fön und etwas mehr Wasserdruck in der Dusche wären prima. Aber kein Problem.

Great location, pristine room, really friendly family they truly went above and beyond for us. Couldn't have asked for more! 5 mins in Tuk Tuk to Hiriketiya Beach or 2 mins walk to Dikwella beach.

Bellissima struttura immersa in un giardino, tutto molto curato e pulito. Amila ci ha accolti con tanta gentilezza e simpatia, ci ha preparato ottime colazioni ed è sempre stato disponibile per ogni esigenza nostra e della nostra bambina. Le camere sono molto belle, essenziali e pulite. Consigliatissimo!
