El desayuno muy completo, excelente.y que había tranquilidad para dormir

Cons:

Solo admite pago en moneda local, y accesoen coche un poco complicado. Los coches pasan con dificultad hay que ir en tuk tuk si llevas equipaje grande.

Locatie heeft geweldig uitzicht. Super gezellig dakterras. Fijne bedden. Alles was netjes en schoon. De meest geweldige en lieve host. Super lekker ontbijt wat ze zelf maakt

Cons:

De voordeur kan alleen van de binnenkant op slot dus als je weg gaat kan je de deur aan de buiten kant niet op slot doen.

Pros:

Das untere Zimmer (DZ) ist Standard, das obere (3er) überdurchschnittlich, auch dank der gemütlichen Terrasse.
Die Gastegeberin hat alles getan, damit wir uns wohlfühlen. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag verschieden und das beste in 4 Wochen Sri Lanka.
Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und doch zentral.

The location was great! In the main Ella area in just a few minutes walking, but peaceful far enough from the noisy center. I could hear just birds when waking up. Beside the hotel there's a bar where a had my dinners with an breath taking view of the valley. The host is very kind, and the breakfast are amazing. The bed was comfy and the shower had hot water!
If I go back to Ella, I'll definitely stay here again

Good price to quality ratio & a fantastic host
Pros:

The homestay was really well located for the sightseeing that we wanted to do. The room was very big and the beds really comfortable. The owner was super sweet, very accommodating and helped us with tips and advice for our trip.

The breakfast was traditional local breakfast, big portions and really fresh. The owner helped us also pack in takeaway boxes the leftovers for our day trips. It was really nice to have an own balcony and enjoy the food there.

Overall the homestay was really clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The location might be a bit challenging for people with mobility limitations. For people that are a bit active it’s perfectly located :)

The bathroom needs renovation. The shower had no pressure and the toilet seat seams clean but is super old and clearly needs changing.

Pros:

Verhalten des Gastgebers, Lage, Preis

Cons:

Komfortlevel: Matratze hart und Kissen steinhart, wurde dann auf Nachfrage ausgetauscht.
Ohne AC für uns leider kaum aushaltbar, zu stickig im Zimmer und es roch modrig
Sind daher einen Tag eher abgereist und in eine andere Unterkunft gewechselt
Man darf aber auch nicht vergessen, es ist schon wirklich ein günstiges Zimmer. Und hätten wir besser geschlafen wären wir auch geblieben, da man eh den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist

Unterkunft ist sauber und schön eingerichtet.
Keine 10min Fussweg in die Stadt.

Cons:

- Wir hatten eine Maus oder etwas ähnliches in der Decke die uns die ganze Nacht wach gehalten hat. Haben 3 Nächte gebucht, haben uns allerdings nach der 2. schlaflosen Nacht eine andere Unterkunft in Ella gesucht. Personal ist nur wenig entgegen gekommen und war nicht sehr hilfreich beim Versuch das Problem zu lösen.
- Bett ist sehr kurz für grössere Leute nicht sehr angenehm
- Viel Lärm am morgen
- W-Lan funktionierte nicht

Clean, spacious- can be stuffy at night.
Pros:

The room was very well maintained and spacious, clean bathroom. Thoughtfully prepared room, with travel adapters.
It's just about 10-15 minutes walk from the main road and lots of restaurants, supermarkets and all amenities close by.

Cons:

We had trouble finding the place, It was almost 700m down a very rough road without much signage.
We had breakfast with the host once. They don't speak much English and had some trouble communicating. I asked for some milk and she nodded and never came back ... The food was tasty but definitely overpriced and cost almost 2-3 times a standard srilankan breakfast I have had at other homestays. There are a lot of other options within 5-10 min walk .
There is no A/c in the room, with only 1 wall mounted fan in a corner. It would have been fine if there was some cross ventilation, because the weather was good, but we could not open the windows (mosquitoes/monkeys!) and it did become stuffy at night.

It feels like home. Extremely relaxing place surrounded by nature
Pros:

Very peaceful place, you have the impression of being at home. The owner is always very kind, discreet and super nice and has always a big smile. Place is also clean, rustic and even being in the middle of nature and very quiet is only 10 minutes away by walking from main street(super chaotic). At mellow homestay you will feel far away from everything and feel sorry to leave for how calm and relaxing it is. We had the room upstairs, it feels for sure more private and secluded. There is no air con but there is no need as Ella is not hot. During the night its 22 degrees celsius as it is at 1000 metres above sea level. Writing this review from nuwara eliya where presently it's raining non stop and it's 15 degrees celsius sigh(1880 metres above sea level). Ella in this period, instead, is very dry(no rain) Breakfast at mellow homestay is also very good and full of fruit among the other things. Mellow homsestay is also walking distance from the nine arches bridge path and not that far from Little Adam's peak.
